Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Full enclousure 8 x K16 with PSU and space for linux router  Neat... Do you have an off the shelf Mini ITX in mind? Or maybe BFL have a few left over cases they want to sell cheap considering they are not going to use them... just have to scratch off the old logo.  |

I think here is many cases we can use. marto74 if you change the location PSU, that will fit in mITX standard housing like Fractal Design from picture above. |

PICs and other parts have arrived so I'm off to Bkk again in a few minutes.
Will be back Monday morning with my goodies for playtime.
Also, a good chunk of the firmware is written but untested. The work send/result receive code has been tested by chaoztc using 2 PICs. Mostly what's left is I2C chaining code. Right now sitting at 6811 code and 805 data.

If you use raspi or linux router as the host, then fit more k16 instead of the motherboard. The sideways ventilation could be an added advantage.

Found some more info on GitHub in the commits tab.

It lists MB as magnetic beads quantity (11) 30 ohm at 100MHZ does not specify DC resistance.
That doesn't seem like much of a roll off. Most of the traces for AVDD on the K16 board are long enough that I can cut and patch one in if need be but I suspect it will be ok. No doubt the intent is to keep high freq. PLL noise from passing via the supply between the ASICs. I wonder how unstable it is and if it was put in out of necessity or just for extra precaution. I think it was more of a precaution as long as you have that capacitor near each ASIC probably will be fine. I would think about adding on next rev of the board though. |
