So we're a few months down the road now, do you think it actually impacted the price at all?

It's a bit hard to tell through all the noise.

If BFL ever ships do you think we'll see an impact?

The price ramp began with ASIC shipping. ASIC brought the network out of the garage. Network security and strength is the key fundamental. Think in fiat banking terms, if banking infrastructure could not be secured with crypto would you trust it? Plus ASIC owners had a free shot at cheap coins so those that did not have one had to buy.
