We are not the center of the universe... The universe is infinite with so many planet and galaxies that we cant count them and i dont believe there is a center for it.
It seems to me that infinity is a relative term. I think start and end should be the whole. Probably the end is, and the universe. We just can't achieve not that the end of the universe, and even neighboring galaxies. Sorry. Very interested to know what is there. |

Well we might be close to discovering some extraterrestrial lifeforms. As far as I know a serious exploration of Jupiter's moon Europa is in preparations, and it may well be the best chance of finding alien life in the solar system.

When I was a kid playing with my dolls, I recall thinking "perhaps we are just dolls for some other huge, more powerful beings"...
Is Earth at the centre of the Universe? And, if so, what does that mean about our world...?
Why is this forum the test case for every last long disproven pre-Enlightenment science theory? Why yes, the earth is indeed at the center of the universe. It is also flat, and being held up by a giant turtle. |

Weew, thank goodness the OP was not talking about literal Geocentrism. Flat-earthers are hard enough to talk to. Do anyone really think we were placed HERE for something special? I don't. I don't think this should even be debated at all. we're just a very tiny speck in the known galaxy and probably there are more earths like the one that we have out there that also thinks they're the center of the universe

Of course the Earth is at the centre of the Universe. Since the universe has no boundaries, it also has no center, so wherever you are it can be considered the centre.

You are wrong. Nobody knows what is in the center of the universe because it is infinite. Another thing is that the universe is composed of small worlds. One of which is our solar system, but in the center not the earth and the sun.
Considering that this is the only planet with life on it as far as i believe, i think that it is right and safe to assume that its the center of the universe, I am okay to swallow back my words if ever there is proof that there is another life form and civilization other there in the universe. |

Actually a great topic to start first and foremost there are tons of theories about earth being the center of the universe, and if earth was the center of the universe then all of the planets, stars, comets, meteors, and galwxies would likely to revolve around us.
