There's nothing wrong with sending your deposit from an exchange.  Just make sure you send the exact amount that is displayed on your dashboard with the transaction fees on top of it.

Why exactly shouldn't you do it? Possible problems with escrow if needed?

Because you can't prove that you are the owner of the sending address. You don't hold the private key, can't sign messages with it etc. In short, don't do it. Ever.

That's true, but isn't the higher risk here that the exchange is disappearing with your coins? If the coins are successfully at their destination, does it matter what the sender address was?
Or am i missing something vital here?

Not having access to your private key means you literally don't own the coin. The exchange does. Look at ETC, 1000s of people lost $1000s because exchanges simply refused to split the coins and they never received them. Nothing they could do.

TERRIBLE advice. Never send from an exchange period.

Someone from the wagerr team needs to contact me. I took part in the ICO using Dash and 24 hours later I see no transaction in the dashboard.

Pm me.

Isn't the transaction on the chain?

Also,

The fact that you don't understand that you should NEVER use an exchange address to send coins anywhere but your own wallet disqualifies you from the ICO. Just don't.

never is a harsh word...only the sith deal in absolutes...

I've participated in at least 2 ICO's that you could deposit from exchange, maybe even 3 I think TRST you could do that as well...and later on you input your ETH address for the ERC20 tokes.

I agree, good rule of thumb but you need to check the specific ICO because often sending straight from an exchange is easier for people, especially if they don't wish to use MEW and MIST is having synccing issues, and in many cases can save some fees/time.

In general I never send, but with MGO I sent almost exclusively from exchanges because I would trade for different coins, hold on exchange just in case, and when I saw ICO ending just sent all from exchange.

1. If you don't own the private key you don't own the coin. The exchange does.
2. If you don't own the private key you can't prove your transactions to a third party since exchanges will not allow you to sign or verify messages
3. You can't control Gas cost when sending from an exchange, and in many cases this will make it impossible to join ICO's due to them requiring higher gas cost to excecute contracts than traditional sends
4. You can't control the fee when sending from an exchange, possibly having a Bitcoin transaction stuck
5. Exchanges can 'freeze' currencies and tokens for any reason they want to

So no, you should NEVER use an exchange wallet to send coins to a third party.

If you are trying to get the transaction done quicker, then yes....

....or just use a large enough of a fee to send the BitCoin transaction faster

There will only be extra rounds if all 10 of the initial rounds sell out completely.

Its a double edged sword. If we dont complete the first 10 rounds then there is no bonus for the round you participated in. If we do complete the first 10 rounds we then get the bonus but up to another 100 million coins gets issued.

Again on the plus side though, all coins in rounds 11-20 will be issued at .06 USD each as opposed to the current .05 USD each so the price already goes up Smiley

I do, I'm not the tool telling Devs to contact me because I did something stupid. You email support with all the pertinent information and they'll figure out exactly what YOU did wrong.

Yup, we are powering through round 8. Half the round 8 tokens are left and then on to round 9. Round 8 will ensure we get fantasy sports betting and tournament league betting Smiley

I had issue with my first BTC deposit to wagerr.com ICO platform.

Support guys were very responsive and rapid fast to solve it. My profile was credited with corresponding amount of wagerr tokens right after I verified my e-mail address.

If all goes well and as intended for this project, we are part of another rising star on crypto scene.

I see that we're in Round 9 today, and it looks like we'll be going into the extended rounds 11+  Grin

I haven't seen it anywhere, but can someone confirm if the bonus structure for getting into the earlier rounds will continue?  So that Round 1 participants would get a 10% bonus, Round 2 would get 9%, and so on when Round 11 is completed.

Thanks.
