Kidding aside, with the current event and happening with Bitcoin, it seems the scalability issue is outweighed by the news and hype of Bitcoin adoption in some country, specially in Japan where its citizen is still in FOMO.  Well, who would not be?  Having more than 10 major company in line for their licenses so they can venture into Bitcoin.  I really think that bitcoin will reach $2000 this third quarter of the year.

That big figure in peoples minds is quite likely a reason for the current hesitation I think, I can faintly remember similar with the first breach of 1000 ages ago.   My very rough guess is BTC and its protocol changes are not a fallout for this year, some anticipate we see a switch to another crypto standard but price wise I believe we have at least 2017 to see if market can make bitcoin work or 'they' move interest and capital elsewhere.

So yep I concur it might take till end of 2017 to surmount 2000 properly but I still think its an imaginary obstacle  like this moon idea.   Really markets have better reasons to establish areas of supply and demand and which price suits, they are not swinging off round numbers except short term in minds and ideas of people, any economy is a massed crowd and momentum of its own determination.   We cant be tied to 2000 because thats only one currency and bitcoin is dozens of different prices across the globe - I will be disappointed if dollar controls us like that

You are right about the altcoins but a good trader can make a million of dollar out of it .  Fluctuation, speculation, pump and dump of altcoin means a good profit to those who knows how altcoin move.

This is a new to the moon thread.. did you notice today that the price was drop few hours ago..
Its a hug price for me.. almost $100 usd was drop hoping that the price will increase back.. and more people in japan use the bitcoin or invest in bitcoin soon.
If we hit the $1900 plus i am sure that this year we will experience to touch at $2k value..  and those exchange site will not trying to give a reason for hacking activity because they will also affected to the price. they should support the price today.

i would think so, however in one of the factor about the transaction problem, for bitcoin, particularly if you are doing some small transactions, you will have to pay a relatively ridiculous fees due to the high volume of unconfirmed transactions. altcoins often become a way to avoid some of the unneeded fees by trading with bitcoin, which results the support of bitcoin dominance and/or the rise of the altcoins. thus notable altcoins become higher in capitalization.

in a nutshell, the bubbles risen up for avoiding the high bitcoin transaction fee.

I think it's already landed a few days ago and right now the rocket's running out of fuel, needs to go back to earth to get it refueled, and obviously that will take some time to recover...

Price went down $100 yesterday, i mean i'm all with bitcoin going up but it doesn't seem that likely right now. Even if it does go up, it'll probably be max. $2k, not much of a rise.

Nice perception.
But I may not find bitcoin hitting moon until it will be valuing in millions because with respect to the amount of bitcoin I am holding I just need prices to be valued in millions so that I can find some differences in my lifestyle.

Might be my definition of reaching moon may sound so greedy but I will be ready to hold my bitcoins for some more years so that I will be finding myself as rich just due to my bitcoin hoarding only after that my life too become so colorful.

The ancient method is based on the levels of water the tree gathers. Tree is harvested before the new moon when the water moisture of the wood is the least. The most water bloating is on the full moon.

There is a method of trading btc based on the phases of the moon. There is usualy a rise during the full moons and dumps during the new moons. Maybe the lack of water in the brain is making people dump their bitcoins.

Well, I think you need to remember that bitcoin is price is extremely high already, if we compare it to the yearly chart. We are very close to the all-time high once again, and
it will be not so strange if bitcoin will cross the 2000$ level.
Currently, for 1BTC you can get 1830$ according to bitstamp, so we are only 170$ far away from that interesting level.

However im still afraid that now, bitcoin is going to fall because the price increased so quickly, that it can cause a big dump of coins right now: unless there will be many more new people interested about obtaining some BTC.

2000 is not an interesting level, its significance is zero when we trade in every country of the world and the price is varying constantly and very often nowhere close to 2000.

Is this why some hotels have no floor 13, did that level of logic ever do any good you think ?    I would guess not, buy into the price below 2000 because this reasoning is so weak that when we push past as is inevitable with such flawed logic then the rise will be profitable for all holders.

The only thing to be certain of here is was the rise to 1,700 justified.   In price terms alone that only means to say have we confirmed levels enough along the way or did we rise without question.   The price is justified by the selling and recapture of each price point.   Just recently we had a downtrend in play and again its been defeated.    This market remains as I thought in February, a strongly trending positive rise.    Anything can suffer setbacks but it wont be from round numbers in just one country, this idea is bigger then that
