Sold 60% of my FTC though.
Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Nah. People have too much invested. Eventually enough people will get burned that they will be wary and not jump in, or it will turn into a comedy/tragedy of early adoption. I can't even keep up and I've only been following for a month or two.

I don't see anything wrong with buying a block of new coins really cheap. If they attain limited value give them away as xmas presents and introduce your friends to cryptocurrency...
