It's NOT a pity. You are MUCH better off staying in ETH or BTC rather than buying in last July. WTT tokens are fairly stable in value, and the majority of miners are still not installed even though we were promised installation in September (and then Oct, then Nov, then Dec, then Jan, and now May). Picking some WTT up now and buying a rig for is much 'cheaper' now than doing so in July.

Eth was at about $200 when a lot of us bought in. That means we paid about $5.50 per WTT and about $16,000 per rig compared to today's value of ETH.

Got an email update today from them on my BATCH 2 hardware....

"Your batch 2 Pandas have not yet been deployed as you may know. You are looking at possible late February/March for deployment."

Ugh....

Were your batch 2 Pandas scheduled for September deployment? I also have one outstanding, but did not receive a mail.

Ya, they were. I had to email their support a bunch of times before they responded. And they didnt even mention the L3s I ordered for the December deployment. Nothing to do now but wait patiently for another month I suppose.

Yep me too. Not even half my miners deployed. But mining at home is no option for me with a local electricity price of 29 cents per kW/h.

The biggest problem for me is to take care of running miners. I am not retired yet, so has little time and passion for it.   Even high electricity (10cents compared to 3.3c) is not the major reason, but troubles with mainteinance ad with noise.

Nope, definitley not backing off. Just a little frustrated that progress is so slow. I don't blame GW. It was my own risk evaluation which was so poor.

I really thought: building garages with some additional power lines, what could possibly go wrong? Well, actually nothing. They will finish them and I believe business will thrive. I just didn't account for the time factor.....

Now I'm learning the real meaning of patience  Grin

Bought one of these new Alpha's  Grin It's a good sign nobody is buying them,...... I believe  Grin

ps: I'm from Germany

I also was willing to take the Alpha miner, nice specs. But in mind that the Panda miner batch 2 are not (all) running yet ..

Pretty risky invest.. again ..

Strange that GW keep selling miners if there deployment timeline is months ahead and do not even have fixed dates  Huh

Not very responsible from GW or i am one of the highjacked customers put on the foollist.

I also bought two of them  Smiley   First I was reluctant because it's price is $1k more than previous price of Panda B3 Pro, when it was selling a couple of months ago.

But  new price of Panda which they sold yesterdt was higher, and nearly the same as from GW.

Yes, risky it is, I agree. But on the other hand I heard Andrey saying in Telegram that he believes April deployment is achievable.

Concerning the B3 Pandas: some clients seem to have the September batch deployed already long time ago. So it's obvious that some Pandas were left over and in sum they were too few to fill up a whole pod. Because of different heights GW also may not put them next to S9 and L3. So when the big batches S9 and L3 came in, GW deployed them first. Then came the Neuromation deal and no free pods were over. So B3 Pandas were again postponed to the new facility Ephrata and now George. So we may see the September Pandas deployed togther with the December Alpha's hopefully now in George.  Again: this is only my theory, since the support does not answer any questions. Other theories are welcomed  Grin

GW did give us the bumby road and left us out on gaining.

Unfortunately GW has been adversely affected by US authorities, who not only raised unreasonable requirements for power supplies (Bitmain PSUs were not accepted) - which caused a prolonged delay due to the need to find new PSUs (produced specifically for GW those that satisfy UL requirements),   but also constant delays from inspection in connecting PODs to electricity.

Those delays were out of GW influence.

I actually made the mistake and compared the Alpha 200 V2 to the first version. But they had a typo on the singapore website.  The grafic card is not the same as originally posted in the shop.

Alpha 200 V1 has the AMD RX470 and the new V2 has the AMD RX570.

So a higher price is justified, but $1K more is a bit pricy I agree.

I've been looking to invest in Ice Rock Mining.

Looks very suspicious to me.  They advertise return of 400+% a year, which is not unlikely in crypto, but normally no serious company would promise this, because nobody can predict the future.  Wink

Same her. I don't like it. They plan to buy 5.000 S9 which means a technical diversification of zero. Lifetime contract?? I would run.
