I've never watched it! is it similar to any other programmes already out there?
Well, the characters were based on Doc & Marty of
Back to the Future fame.. but other than the similarities in the characters' quirkiness,
Rick & Morty is a totally different show. The plot is awesome, the way they pay homage to various previous sci-fi work is amazing, and the the writers' exploration of what-might-be's when we have a super-intelligent scientist (in the person of Rick) who have invented a way to traverse different dimensions in so short a time (through his portal gun) is downright astounding.
Note that there are a lot of swearing in the dialogue (if you're able to watch the uncensored version); in comparison, while the original BTTF was supposedly a family-friendly movie trilogy.
