This just showed up out of nowhere.

https://themerkle.com/monaco-visa-ico-starting-may-18th/

https://www.mona.co/

I see nothing on reddit or here.

Seems very scammy. Likely fake VISA association that TokenCard had.

I was just looking at this and was hoping someone might have more information on it. Out of my own ignorance, can you explain what you are suggesting is scammy about it? I am relatively new to all this, I have lurked in and out of the crypto world for the past few years but only recently did I start actually actively participating. On the surface, to someone like me, this appears like a great opportunity to tackle some of the issues associated with adoption. However I am very interested to hear feedback from someone with more experience than I.

Looks like just another copy cat of tokencard, tokencard got some success and may be few people thought this was way to go and came up with this shit. They haven't posted anything in this forum before starting their ICO and may be they have only paid few media outlets like this one to promote their ICO.

The web site design looks very elegant and professional, but this does not have anyting to with the trust of the project. If you think it's a scam, you need to list the reasons so that we beware of it.

Announcing of ICO 1 day before launch followed by aggressive marketing campaign? Seems sketchy..

Also, it looks like they ripped off the Brave Browser logo.

Seems as if they got inspired by the recent ICOs and wanted a piece for themselves. Literally a merge of BAT + Token. How long till the Visa logo dissapears with this one?

And the rest of the website is a total rip off of pre ico site of tokecard.io

SCAM ALERT!!

Obvious Scam.

Their whitepaper does not describe cost in any part
Visa is not even on the card design, Visa NEVER takes part in any prepaid crypto linked to a crypto
They made an aggressive campain out of nowhere:

Website is nicely done, but seriously the slack channel with only 31 registered users when the crowdsale is in a few hours?

Sketchy.

This is what I expect in determining whether a project is scam or not and not just because of the fact that there is thread on reddit or on this forum as op has equally noted now amounted to scam. Detailed analysis and research will give a red flag as to whether a project is scam or not after all we have seen several projects here with thread answer questions even run campaigns but turned out to be scam.

It should also be noted all the Linkedin profiles on the website link out to Linkedin pages where none of those people list Monaco Technology as an associated company, very bad sign.

https://www.cryptoninjas.net/2017/05/17/monaco-technology-gmbh-reveals-new-cryptocurrency-card-ico-set-start/

We have updated this, please be sure to submit scam or fraud alerts to us and we will document them as such.

We are also aware of another scam copycat using the same sort of model for a different service, will likely report on this soon.

They have a hard cap of about $80 Mil!
The only thing that says legit in any way is their tokenmarket escrow. How easy is that to get?

We also believe this is a scam:

https://bitcoingrowthfund.com/

Looks similar to the Monaco site.

It is a copy of Blockchain Capital Venture Fund, BCAP token... they are trying to raise MCAP token awareness

1 facebook like and less than 30 twitter followers. Nope! Hope nobody falls for this but they'll easily make $100k off it.
