My withdrawal was added with the last lot at 13:00 UTC, but now five hours later my deposit into Bitfinex is: 0 out of 3 confirmations.
It has showed up as pending but no confirmations.... Bitfinex say this is likely due to a low transfer fee used.
I used the recommended withdrawal fee on Bitmex (also the minimum) which was an insane 0.0022btc.
However, here I am with my BTC still up in the air.

I've contacted support but no response yet.

Any idea how long this may take?
Transaction info:
80.50 sat/B fee size
Propagation 100%

I have no idea why it's not even made a single confirmation... this is bad for me.

If Bitfinex answered you, then it's probably not a technical (display) issue and it's the fees like they said. The current recommended fees are 100 Sat/Byte. Your transaction should get confirmed in a few hours.

OP, it's the fees. You either pay the recommeded fee, or wait patiently for your transaction to confirm. There's no other way.

Although you can also make a request for Bitmex to increase the withrawal fee.

Where can you find the recommended tx fee?
Be good to know that as and when.

Here you can find the recommended tx fee depending on how loaded is the network : https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/
If you scroll down the page it will tell you wich is the recommended fee right now to get your transaction confirmed as soon as possible. I can say it is safe to use any value that has a green line on top.

There's both a minimum and recommended fee offered to you on the Bitmex withdrawal page under the fee amount in the withdrawal tab. Their support is a bit slow in my experience, but you could probably ask them for help but I doubt they'll really do anything but say that the transaction will be eventually confirmed. In the fture, just use the recommended withdrawal fee given to you  instead of the absolute minimum fee for withdrawal if that's what you used.

Here you can find the recommended tx fee depending on how loaded is the network : https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/

that site is terrible for estimating fees.

it doesn't apply here anyway since bitmex doesn't allow you to choose a fee rate (satoshi/byte). your only choice is to set a flat fee above their minimum.

Where can you find the recommended tx fee?
Be good to know that as and when.

basically all you can do is set it to bitmex's recommended fee (or higher) and hope for the best. the way they handle withdrawals is incredibly dumb. it's silly they even ask customers to input a fee amount since the transaction may be broadcast many hours later under different network conditions, and we can't see how many inputs they will use!

they don't batch tx either and are comically bad with fee optimization: https://twitter.com/ziggamon/status/1134490591264497664

I think that because of Bitcoin's transaction is increasing because of the need to exchange many BTC over the past few days and congestion is also one of the big problems. I wonder that, why don't you sell BTC to buy ETH and then transfer it more easily?
The BTC is really very time-consuming and the transaction fee is very high.
