Are some of you not aware of straight 1:1 altcoins  Wink?

Bitcoin Cash sure smells like a fake bitcoin.

No it is not, it is an altcoin. bch have its own blockchain running. A fake is when you can insert a series of letters and numbers in to bitcoin blockchain and others will accept it as bitcoin. No one can do that yet unless they have very powerful computers that can compete with the hash power of the miners combined.
Bitcoin cash is just an separated chain from the main Blockchain platform. Till now there is no fake bitcoins around the network. Also there is no chances found till date to make an correction to the open source running and insert an fake bitcoin. Hope this is the success for the bitcoin growth.

Really it depends on the purpose for these coins. If you copy the code as a direct Fork and changed absolutely nothing, compiled it separately at home and then started running a wallet and mining, that that wallet and any copies of your compiled wallet code would say BTC and Bitcoin and all the same things. Downloaded core says. You could even allow that personal Fork of yours to mine all by itself and produce a nice little balance.

Other than that, and very sad scam attempts, it's a pretty useless fake coin. Although, I have seen people on eBay try to sell coins and claim that they were Bitcoins, that might be the only use for your little fake coin wallet.

Go and die with your brain. If it is not bitcoin, how can we call it fake bitcoin? and it is obvious that altcoins are not the same as bitcoin because some are even greater and better. Fake bitcoin means that bitcoin with the same hash and function like the bitcoin we use everyday and can be read on the blockchain network

Well as seen with the recent fork which tried to split the bitcoin into two different type of bitcoin was epic fail and hence the fact of duplicating the bitcoin has vanished now. There is no bitcoin can be duplicated because it exist in the form of virtual blocks with complex algorithm or smart formulae very hard to solve and break into blue print. The chances are unlikely as the blockchain has been created in that way and for better security of our transaction. So if that was the main motto of it then how could it be easy to break into bitcoin.

if you can create fake bitcoin then there will be no value to the real bitcoin. real bitcoin has value because it cannot be faked

There are many "duplicate" altcoins but they aren't bitcoin and can't be faked for bitcoin if that's what you are asking, but simply, different coins. The possibility of making fake bitcoins is possible through double-spending, but the double-spent bitcoins are never real and will never confirm, that's why you need to wait for a confirmation at least, before believing in a specific transaction.

"Fake Bitcoins" cannot be created otherwise its created as a scam or a fraud to trap you in some plot. Also aside of Bitcoin there are also alternative coins that have been made for their own purposes and Bitcoin inspired companies. And as observed with the current fork which endeavored to part the bitcoin into two diverse sort of bitcoin was epic fizzle and henceforth the reality of copying the bitcoin has vanished at this point. There is no bitcoin can be copied in light of the fact that it exist as virtual squares with complex calculation or brilliant recipe difficult to understand and break into blue print. The odds are impossible as the block chain has been made in that route and for better security of our exchange. So if that was the principle proverb of it then how might it be anything but difficult to break into bitcoin.

The fact that bitcoins don’t exist in the physical world doesn’t prove that they cannot be duplicated. But it is virtually impossible, because nodes check every incoming transaction, and there is no way to send fake bitcoin that does not belong to the network.

As we all know that everything have a blueprint. It's not that much difficult to make fake money if you have blueprints(in case of real cash). I was wondering if anyone found blueprints(algorithm/code) of bitcoins.

Is it possible to duplicate bitcoins?
maybe you not very understand about how blokchain technology work. bitcoin exist because blokchain. the number of bitcoin is just 21 milion and if someone can duplicate bitcoin, the duplicated bitcoin have accepted by all people in blockchain to approv that bitcoin is the legitimate bitcoin if not it will rejected.

Every time you have the original, the fake always exist,But not with Bitcoin, it a unique platform, decentralized, to get the fake large percentage of the miners need to come together which is impossible, this is a major unique difference between Bitcoin and fiat. Highly secure

Bitcoins are not really something that gets “created”: when they are mined, they are added to the ledger, and there is only a single ledger in the network. The Bitcoin protocol is designed so that there can never be any fake or duplicated Bitcoin on the ledger.

It is possible if you can do a 51% attack on the network. I can see some people can use OP's question to argue against Bitcoin Unlimited's move to fork Bitcoin fork it and all the coins mined then are "fake" Bitcoins.

Please do not do that. Both Segwit and BU have their pros and cons. We as a community need to stop finger pointing and trolling.

This analogy actually best explains it. It can not be duplicated as there as nothing to duplicate. It is a digital currency and trying to duplicate will just be complicated because the duplicated Bitcoin would have to have an exact characteristic and system that can be transacted in different wallets.

And besides, earning Bitcoin is now a thing and you can do it in your spare time like participating into signature campaigns. So instead of studying on how to duplicate, why not work easily for it in a legal way.

As far as i know, since bitcoin is a digital currency it would never be duplicated and never be faked. So if your going to duplicate bitcoin you should have an exact  details characteristics of it and you know the whole system on how bitcoin works in different ways, sites, and wallets. But dont you noticed if you have that so you already creating a bitcoin.
And now it will have many sites that say can ear  bitcoin but in the end there is no earning. In a simple way you can scam it not duplicate it.

Nothing is impossible but to copy bitcoins would require a tremendous amount of computer power since its design called block chain has a record of all transactions it has undergone which is secured through mining.

You can't duplicate bitcoin but you can fork it to make a new coin like bitcoin cash, bitcoin unlimited or the upcoming bitcoin gold. But the forked one will be useless if it doesn't have the network support. That will make it basically impossible for anyone to duplicate bitcoin.

You're not able to duplicate bitcoin as you've said. It's impossible to do so that's the whole point of it. Before a transaction is accepted other miners need to confirm the transaction before it goes through. They have the validate if the transaction is legitimate. It's to avoid double spending.
If you do create a new protocol (but sharing the same blockchain history) you're esentially making a fork of bitcoin. But no one would support you because it allows you to create as much bitcoins as you want out of thin air so the value of your 'bitcoins' would be a lot lower.

There is nothing impossible in this world. Ofcourse fake Bitcoin Can be created but it's too complicated to do so. Solving algorithms and stuff. It's not easy!
