So Bitcoin is better than Gold?

I saw in this forum someone who bought gold with bitcoin. Month later, bitcoin goes from 2000$ to more than 4000$ and gold remains the same price.

That is the matter with investments, sometimes you are able to time the market right and sometimes you are not, personally I do no know why he did that since gold has not moved much in the last 5 years besides he did that when the price of bitcoin was at its lowest, so it was definitely a bad move.

Basically this really showed up a good proof that gold was surpassed by bitcoin's price as been said it hasn't move up of it's price. But with bitcoin nowadays surging it's price so high and fluctuates at any situations and then back to it's current state rising again after all. Unlike with with gold's price it remained stagnant for several years which the value has no volatility but price isn't that similar to bitcoin that may reached to infinite as long as demand continued to rise.

I think, in some aspects it is. But overall, and as an investment, Gold is still better. Ofcourse, the market value and market capital of Bitcoin is way higher than Gold's. But as an investment, still, Gold has more investors and is widely used by different countries for a long period of time bevause it has a physical market value, and more stagnant value than Bitcoin, which is good when it come to an investment.

I think between bitcoin and gold have their respective advantages and disadvantages, so it is very difficult to determine which one is better

everyone has their own view about bitcoin and gold but to me i think both have their own advantage and disadvantage, in gold as gold has a very stable price therefore we cannot expect such a big increase or decrease in the price of bitcoin, therefore it is good put your money if you want save it for a long time. but if you want make money and increase your investment the you need to choose bitcoin as bitcoin can give you a good profit in a short time but still the risk of even losing your own money is also there.

Both of them have a good factor. They are both mined by the miner but Bitcoin is not tangible. And I prefer for Bitcoin, although Gold has a high value and it is in stable price. Bitcoin has much higher value than gold but in unstable price.

For me in shorter period of time bitcoin could yield more profits but gold have stable future still since price would definitely go up and dont go down unless no people would got an interest on it.

Price stability could make bitcoin and gold very different. Of being volatility character of bitcoin will make it's price goes up and down, and have a big chance it will totally surpass gold price as what we observed nowadays. But how can you say that the exchange rates of Bitcoin will go up forever? There is also a chance that it can decline to below $1,000. Do you remember what happened during 2014-2016? The exchange rates dived by more than 85%, declining from $1,230 per coin to just above $200 per coin. And trust me, it can happen again in the future.

Bitcoin is far better than gold. Bitcoin has a high value, easy to transfer, easy to carry, secure in wallets with 2 way security. Whereas gold is not much valuable as bitcoin is. And gold needs physical space

In my opinion, bitcoin is not better than gold, maybe they are similar in a unique way, and bitcoin is new gold for the new era, like the old days if you save gold, you will be millionaire in just a few decades. Bitcoin is having that much potential and as we can see popularity is increasing daily with new people and investors moving into digital world. In my personal opinions and reasons, of course yes bitcoins is better than gold base on my trading activity, on bitcoins trading activity i could used arbitrase strategy to getting profit, i could sold the bitcoins to other exchangers that has different the price, it is fast way to getting profit without analisys technical too much, this strategy of trading will be difficult to be applied on the gold because of the rules on every countries are different include the tax and other even it can be done will needs much time. But on bitcoins it is very easy and fast.

Actually we can not say who is better because gold and bitcoin have different advantages and disadvantages. Bitcoin has a lot of advantages because it is very potential, the price is high and increasing over time, bitcoin also attracts many investors, but it also has the disadvantage as the time to accept the transaction is quite long High transaction fees can not be used everywhere and have not been accepted by governments of many countries

As of now there is no such meter that can measure for which is better or not. So we can't judge anyone who has their own opinion. And this is my opinion, in terms of investments, security, and speed of transactions, bitcoin has surpassed gold. Same as the price and it's divisibility, for you can't "easily" divide an ounce of gold in 1 is to 1,000,000 and distribute it to others easily.  . And most of all not anyone of us can use gold, how would you know if it's fake if you are not an expert of it? So for me i would prefer bitcoin over gold in terms of all those parameters.

I think bitcoin is better than gold in the sence that it can easily be transferred and harder to be stolen because it has no physical appearance and hacking bitcoin can not be done. Also bitcoin is better when it comes to value because it's value is rapidly increasing. But when it comes to accessories, gold is better because it has physical appearance and can be used as earing, ring, necklace, etc. unlike bitcoin it has no physical appearance. Both are good, but gold is still better and older. There's why:
Gold is used from 5000 years when Bitcoin only for few years.
You can use it in emergency for example war.
You don't need internet connection.
You can use it to make electrical wires and jewelry.
Bitcoin advantages:
It has bright future.
Awesome for trading.
And investing.
Need internet and electricity.
But one disadvantage:
Can't be used during emergencies. (see up)
This is why gold is better than Bitcoin. We can make physical emergency Bitcoins too but blockchain can be ruined if all hard disks with bitcoin blockchains get destroyed. The only way to shutdown Internet is to shutdown every single server in the world. In post-apocalyptic world we can restore Bitcoin with 56k modems (if documentations will survive).
