I have gold just for my wife's jewelry. and I have bitcoin as an investment. clearly different puncture and its usefulness. but both are important enough for me and my wife. so we opted for both.

this is a glass half empty/glass half full type of question, it pretty much boils down to perspective. If we consider the security of investment, gold is certainly better than bitcoin. deflationary just the same (limited supply that is getting destroyed), accepted, trusted, and generally it has a stable value. as far as security goes, you really cant beat this (provided you have physical gold, and not paper gold)



but if you consider the profitability of the investment, in this time of course bitcoin is the better investment. people are buying this shit hand over fist, and the value has skyrocketed for seemingly no reason. its hyper liquidable, at least for the position size of the average user. and its damned quick (it takes a while to sell gold, trust me on this).

so, just depends on what you are looking for

Bitcoin obviously has a lot of different properties than gold, and is in many ways better than gold.

Or, at the very least, you could say it's similar to gold (in terms of value).

For me I can say that one Bitcoin is better than an ounce of gold in terms of value, trade, uses and transferability. It's also secured on the blockchain technology which makes it secured and difficult for fake ones to be created unlike gold where some people can present yellow metals to deceive others.

You should try to buy some diamonds, and then sell them the next week. You wont be getting anywhere near your money back. Unless of course you bought a rare diamond, which has been "cut" by a famous diamond polisher.

Diamond prices are held artificially high, by suppressing the production.

Bitcoins and gold on the other hand have a value, with which you can both buy and sell them. (minus a few % comission of course)
 

But I think if we make a comparison, then we’ll get to know that Bitcoin is far more profitable than gold. The way the market price of Bitcoin is increasing as compared to that of gold, I think it is very much preferable to opt for Bitcoin instead of gold. Rest the choice is totally yours, but I think Bitcoin is much better than gold.

I dont think bitcoin is better than gold because most of us here know that gold bar is much better thab bitcoin, im not stating that bitcoin is not that high than the other things that worth of. Of cource most of the user here bet that bitcoin is much worth than gold but for me i it is not.
