Bitcoin may be a better investment asset when compared to gold. But at the same time, we can't say that Bitcoin is a superior payment method. When was the last time you used BTC to make a payment? The last time I used, was more than 2 years ago. Unless the scaling issues are resolved, Bitcoin many not be used very widely to make payments.
