That news is actually old news.  There is some more recent news about the technology being used by a couple of companies, and there is a lot of potential with the technology that is being worked on in Japan. Mijin, a private version of the platform based on the upcoming Catapult revision, which will be rewritten in C++ and be capable of 3000 transactions per second (contrast that to bitcoin which does about 7 transactions a second on a good day) ... this kind of scalability would be useful for financial institutions to decrease costs in their doing business.  If you actually study the tech you'll see that it puts things like LTC with segwit to shame.   This is the third coin of the big tree (Ripple, Ethereum, and XEM) that are poised to replace bitcoin, and of the 3, XEM is by far the best CURRENCY, while Ethereum is the best service/application platform.  Ripple's kind of like the redheaded stepchild that people want to leave the room but it's there anyways. :p  After weeks of trying to extol the virtues of this coin without sounding like I was simply pumping or hyping it, it gets the respect it deserves.  Unfortunately the threads disappear off the first page fast and another "best altcoin" thread pops up twice a day.

actually i don't know much about NEM, i only see in the coinmarketcap that NEM is increase so fast and reach high position. i think why NEM growing is because bitcoin price is increase too so altcoin including NEM is follow to increase. its the good time to make profit with NEM because we see that NEM is really slow to increase in the last year and now its a good change to go up like other coins.

I think this is the fastest growing coin

In this week itself price almost double. I got some of these coins and looks good to hold for long to make a good profit. I don't know whether prices are moving up because all other coin prices also going up or any specific reason like other mentioned above. But my investments gave me some good profit this week.

I think that it is pure speculation. I have studied the technology behind NEM, and there are dozens of similar alts around. So in my opinion, the current spike seems to be a pump-and-dump.

Just saying that NEM (XEM) is the most decentralized coin in the most altcoins that growing enough here. Am sure that NEM (XEM) would be #2 in cryptocurrency after this year would end. And i'm hoping that NEM (XEM) would be in $1-$2 price after this year would end. Anyways am one of bag holders of this coin

It has been severely undervalued for YEARS. The team made solid progress on the platform and starting integration with big companies and financial institutions.

Even better, the team did this without raising millions in an ICO. The team did this with only several thousands of raised money and the rest came from the funds that were allocated from the NEM total.

I join investing with this coin a long time ago but reget selling all of it thinking it is a failed one.
Now, it can be seen in the market how much it grew from 3 digits of satoshis to now 5 I think.
There is a lot of room for growrh with NEM but it is hard to invest again when you experiemce buying it first at cheap price.

Yes, it is one of the fastest coins which are growing it daily cap, already this platform in many ways and now taking the next level. Already the price of NEM will reach to 1$ within a year because Dev team is promoting it's branding in different aspects of banking sectors.
