Hello guys!

I just want to ask if there's an existing offer already that accepts bitcoins by purchasing airline tickets to a specific destination? I'm an adventure type of guy, just finished my vacation last Monday. I usually travel like 3 to 4 times a year locally by plane.

Any thoughts on this guys? Thanks in advance.

I think it is not available yet because the countries or big companies are just starting to notice bitcoin and i think it will take at least a year before they decided to accept bitcoin for their airline tickets. This kind of idea is a good one because we can easily pay our tickets without having any problem because we always have our smartphone with bitcoin wallet in it.

I think that Expedia used to accept Bitcoin for their services but their program ended some time ago for that, maybe they reinstated it after recent events?

Aside from that your best bet is just using a lot of the posts that you've seen in the thread, I've heard that btctrip.com is a pretty good website to use. I've never used it personally, and I don't really have they money to go on a trip right now, but those I've talked to who do travel AND use Bitcoin don't mind that site.

Last I checked, Expedia only accepted bitcoin for hotels (not for airfare).

When I was comparing airfare between the bitcoin sites and expedia, the bitcoin sites charged considerably more for the same flights.  It was much cheaper to sell the bitcoins first and then buy the tickets with USD.

You probably can buy airline tickets with credit cards. There are credit cards that use Bitcoin, get one of them and you can spend Bitcoins and get tickets in return.

But I wouldn't now, with the same amount of Bitcoin you may travel the world in some years

Im also looking for this airline tickets that accept bitcoin payment. As for now, I didnt heard this yet that any airlines accept bitcoin. If this would be happen in the long run, for sure many bitcoin users will adopt this method. This will for sure attract users.

I think some traveling agencies in the US have bitcoin as a payment option. Travelocity or priceline, I can't remember specifically which one.

I've read a news about bitcoin can pay for airline tickets in japan ... and in arab saudy will be planned to make a ticket payment program using bitcoin ... and indeed in two countries it's a lot of public demand about the payment of airline tickets using bitcoin ... thank you....

The main ones would be Destinia, Btctrip, Cheapair.

Most of the time they can't hope to match the prices I find elsewhere, but I'm usually looking in Europe at crappy airlines.

Just get a Bitcoin debit card and then the entire travel market is available to you. There's no point in giving money away just for the honour of spending Bitcoin directly, and it's getting converted to fiat anyway.

It seems that such a thing is very difficult to do. For bitcoin payment can only be done to buy goods in certain stores that receive bitcoin. If to pay the plane ticket it is necessary companies that receive bitcoin as a means of payment. And that's not possible because there are still not many of the people using it. Given the fluctuating bitcoin prices tend to and down to make the company will be confused determine the price of the airfare. And may be troubling buyers who will book the plane tickets

This has always been my biggest concern with cryptocurrencies is actually trying to spend them. I really wish there was mass adoption so that I could do something as simple as ring United Airlines and book a seat and pay via BTC directly....that would be heaven!

Bitcoin could be used as a legit payment option if your Bitcoin transaction confirms. I suggest that you use a Bitcoin transaction accelerator so you could get your Bitcoin transaction confirmed faster, viabtc is a good tool to use for that.

Cheapair is a very popular website so you might want to visit there first.

to be honest, do you have anymore option to let the op choose? i mean, i think there are more than one website(s) doing such.
beware of there are possibly higher fees than paying in cash IIRC.

out of ability to use the signature, i want a new ban strike policy that will fade the strike after 90~120 days of the ban and not to be traced back, like google | email me for anything urgent, message will possibly not be instantly responded
i am not really active for some reason
