I already repaired my wallet which should have reset my transactions however the status is still trying to sent bitcoins.  I didn't realize my transaction fee was too low (newbie) so I'm sure this is my problem.  Please help!

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Yes, it is definitely as a result of a low fee.

Unfortunately all you can do right now is to either wait for a confirmation or use the viabtc accelerator(make sure you get in there early every hour because usually every spot is taken in the first minute or two). If you really need this confirmed use the BTC.com transaction accelerator although they charge a fee for the service.

Good luck, next time just make sure your settings are correct before you send anything!

Thanks.  A few questions...Could the confirmation of my transaction take weeks or more?  Is there no way to cancel the transaction?  Will I just lose all my money?

Also, I just used viabtc to accelerate transaction - do I enter transaction ID multiple times or just once?

Thanks for the info!

It depends on the miner fee included in a transaction . Here is a great guide for including a sufficient miner fee: https://bitcoinfees.21.co
Is there no way to cancel the transaction?
Once the transaction receive at least one confirmation it'll be irreversibe if its still unconfirmed . Here is what you can do about that: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1802212.0 . If you're using a multibit HD . I recommend doing a full RBF (It's also included in that guide)
Will I just lose all my money?
No will not. If the transaction remained unconfirmed for too long without rebroacasting, the network will eventually forgot it and the bitcoin transacted will go back to the sending address .
Also, I just used viabtc to accelerate transaction - do I enter transaction ID multiple times or just once?
If you received a success it will be automatically included in their queque you just have to wait no need to enter your TXID multiple times .

Short Answers: Yes, No, No.
and No.

Long Answers:

Yes, given the current state of the network and your low fee, the transaction could be stuck for weeks... especially if your wallet keeps rebroadcasting the transaction.
No, once the transaction is sent to the network, it is up to individual nodes whether or not drop they drop it. Most nodes will drop it after 72 hours... but it seems with the added load, some may be keeping transactions longer to give them a chance to confirm.
No, you won't lose your money (assuming you are the sender). Once the transaction drops from all the nodes, your a rescan of the blockchain by your wallet should result in the transaction no longer showing and the coins being available in your wallet again.
and
No, once you get the "Acceleration Succeeded" message, your transaction is in the queue. It should confirm in the next block or 2 that ViaBTC mine (they average one about every 4 or 5 hours I think), so just be patient.
