I saw at Facebook (ah, yeah, if not my family would hate me..., my city's BTC community has a Facebook page) that my city will have some kind of party if/when BTC price reaches $2000. I did not read the details, and am traveling anyway, but it made me wonder if BTC is catching on enough that people might actually get together and have a PARTY at $2000.
Anyone else heard if there is something like this going on in your cities? Or is Miami just looking for another excuse to party?

Bitcoin crossing $2K really is a reason to party. Especially for long time holders. Investment in Bitcoin has changed the lives of people. And $2k doesn't look very far away now. |

After that, it ll depend on SegWit implementation. If that happens, $5k ll be a conservative price estimate.

You won't see $2000 this weekend. New money transferred into the crypto space exchanges has to adhere to old slow clearing processes which is why BTC sometimes dips on weekends. |

no sadly i don't think people in my country are that into bitcoin enough to throw a party for it's $2000 price. but i may do it though. this actually gave the idea to put up some party invitation on my facebook to invite some friends over after price goes above $2000. that is two birds with 1 stone  i both celebrate the milestone and introduce bitcoin to a many. |

It is just 25$ to 2000, if you have been a hodler ever since, even if you are not in miami, you would be partying. I am not that much of a hodler but I am happy that bitcoin is still gaining even with some problems holding it back.

Well i would but for me it is a damn regret that i did not invest in btc a long time ago that when i was busy with other works. i encountered btc when it was still 600 but due to business i in cashed all my btc. But now that i returned i would have been a millionaire in my country if i had'nt really incashed with the hopes that it would just be a waste of time. But i guess it is not too late now. |

Unfortunately i can`t go to Miami and join the party.  My city is too small and too poor and we don`t have a bitcoin or crypto community. Anyway,i will celebrate when the btc price reaches 3000 USD. |

In yobit exchange the price of BTC have crossed $2000 mark and it is trading in $2005 range, so i think you can now start to party, but here in my country the party has started last week when it reached Rs.1 Lakh and now it is nearly Rs.1.5 lakh so here everyday is party day

After crossing the 2K$ i guess that will be the base mark and bitcoin will not fall below 2000$. Great Isn't ? Bitcoin was at 1000$ at the start of this year and with five months it is doubled in value. No one expected that too soon as everyone was excepting 2000$ by end of 2017. |

It makes me smile and excited with this bitcoins appreciation when it reaches $2000 dollar. Great! In my city/country there is no such ting like this, it is not yet known that much. Wishing it will cross $2,000 dollar soon, then enjoy the party!  |

I don't think there is any group party for $2K in my city but yes, I am damn sure that there will be a huge party when bitcoin will touch $5K as people are showing interest in this technology and they have faith that it is something that would bring fundamental change in the financial lifestyle. The bitcoin user base is growing with slow but at a steady rate in my town.

The price of bitcoin is so close to 2000 USD price mark and i think before this month ends the 2000 USD price will be stable and it will continue to rise for this coming months and years especially the year of 2018 because i think the price in 2018 will be 5000 USD.

that's enough reason to party out especially those long believers which really gain a lot i started when btc already in 400$ and i'm so happy to see
that its still moving up almost 2k$ now and there's still a lots of things happen inside exchange maybe it will hit that value within a couple of days if

Oh yeah with SegWit we would see definitely another 2-3x of the recent prise easily! Hope we will see SegWit getting activated this year. But man we know often things happen completely different as expected. |

If $ 5,000 That is a high enough argument in order to already give good prices. But it seems to me that you need at least to hope for something that is real, although with the future Bitcoin all is ambiguous. |
