Not even 6 months ago this joint was full of ETH haters and detractors who viciously attacked any ETH believers and voraciously spread lies and FUD to any potential investors. This disgusting gang of sockies was lead from the front by the Grandmaster FUD himself, Spoetniktard. So just how much cold hard crypto cash has his lies cost you in return of investment. To put this into context and to help ease your calculations in January 2017 one ETH would set you back $7.

There's a reason why there was so much FUD... because ETH is an unscaleable bullshit platform that was both instamined and premined by Vitalik and his shady bunch of insiders. there's not even 1 working dapp working on Eth's shit platform
Lol. Knew this question would get you despicable sockie out the woodwork. So how much did you lose you Spoetniktard?

I didn't lose money that I didn't invest. I gained relatively less for making a safer bet, which I am happy with.

Look into the eyes.

The most silly what you can do right now is to criticized  yourself that you did not earn maximum possible value. that you sold to fast bought to late or to early.   It is impossible to buy cheapest and sell at ATH.  How many was able to sell their BTC for over $1000 in 2013?  We all know it was over $1000 but only few did actually sell so for us the rest was never there. And is nothing wrong with that.

Just make profit and be happy. You will be sad next year after bubble burst and we will have bear year and 2020 when coins will be more or less static.  Not that you complain now when everything goes up. LOL. What you will do with this money if you have such sad life?

I don't lose any money but was glad eth is up above $125 on http://www.coinmarketcap.com. Token has help alot in pushing it to were it is today. Hope it pull back to $100 so I can invest. Eth may get to $500 before meddle of next year.
ETH is good but I found ripple to be more attractive. Also You can only lose in cryto if you buy a coin and it goes down the price you buy. Regarding OP question, if someone never buy any ETH, there is no point of losing as you can never lose any of your money without buying first.
Yes you can only regret that if you have bought, you could have earned some profits but in reality you have faced no loss.

How can it be said lose if we never spend money on it, who does not buy ETH at the time of only 900.000 satoshi is just losing the opportunity to make a profit, that's all.
People who do not buy ETH definitely buy another coin or just keep a Bitcoin and they still get the benefit, we can see the price of Bitcoin that goes up periodically.

None could have expected such a growth percentage with eth. Even the starting of the year provided a good profiting opportunity to buy as low as less than $10. The same has now grown very big crossing $100, so missed is always missed. Believe and invest at the current price for a profit by upcoming rise.

My story is the funniest one. I had bought eth in 2015 and was holding til 2017 jan. I finally got fed up of it and ended up selling all 15 eth i had. Right after i made that move after a month i guess the price started increasing and today the same 15 eth which i sold for 150$ is now valued at 1800$

This question only glorifies ETH, as an perfect investment and all others who didn't invested are fools. This do not reflect a truth. Contrary fool is only one who didn't invested in alts because majority of them are higher 5x or more..In those conditions we cannot say only ETH.

The typical "thinking" of Mindlesscache clown. With that "thinking" you can also blame Vitalik for selling 25% of his coins probably a year ago. Tell me how much did he lost, stupido?! We're in the middle of a bubble and Ethereum can be compared with Ripple - all of these projects are for the fiat money involved (just see how many crowdsales and ICOs based on ETH we have). Be their cheerleader, but don't blame others being stupid, because you already proved yourself to be among the stupidest people in this forum! I already told you that your IQ equals room temperature, but now I think it's even less than that...

You ask me how much money I've lost, I think it's impossible to estimate, and probably lost an opportunity to be financially free
yes that is right to estimate it correctly but still i will like to add that i lost nothing becaust at that time i had invested in bitcoin and i really madu a good profit from there which i think even cannot expect from any other crypto aly coin .

Ether is doing a good price spike. But an an investment, it has one huge weakness that the monetary assets do not have: Its value derives from meta-assets which are effectively businesses.

That is floating value which can work as well on one smart contract blockchain as another, so investing in the underlying token doesn't actually invest you in those businesses directly and the value of your holdings (at least against, say bitcoin) is exposed to volatility from technological competition.

This is not the case with monetary assets such as BTC, LTC, DASH, PPC, XMR etc. They are held for a monetary premium (monetary value over utility) that effectively cements their role as a store of value and nothing else.

Conclusion:

 • Technology assets (the smart contract blockchains) are good for short term gains, but may not hold their value due to always being subject to MySpace --> Facebook syndrome so you need to know when to get out.

 • Monetary assets are likely to have far more longevity. Like investing in gold in the 1950's would still have been a good move 50 years later, whereas investing in electronic typewriters might have made you rich at the time but not if you'd stayed in that asset for 50 years

yes that is very right we should not lament for what has happened either we get profit or lost but now we need to focus on our future, as still there are so many opportunities to make more and more profit. just need to give good time.

Holding ETH in last 12 months is a huge loss compared holding PIVX or PEPE.  LOL
