Plagiarism.
Culprit user: Mask2020
Post link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5349703.0 (archive)

The actual post, for comparison:

2 very important events for BITCOIN AHEAD :
1- Grayscale will have 41000 BTC unlock in mid of JULY which can impact in price going down as GBTC release has resulted many time before as well for BTC PRICE to go down .
Good news is this is last release for Grayscale investors for GBTC release so after that there is
2nd BIG EVENT FOR THIS season on 21st JULY
That is Elon musk and Jack Dorsey Bitcoin meeting which can result in some bullish news for BITCOIN resulting in price to go up from there .

So for me we might see BTC price to go down with this final release of Grayscale GBTC and it will be followed with expected positive event for BITCOIN !

Right now market is in control with bears so GBTC release can have good impact to lower the BTC price and to hit our low targets and then we might hear 2-3 or even more positive news in market that is what i am expecting and can have good bullish month of AUGUST .

So what i am doing -
BUYING 15% of BITCOIN at present value so if nothing happens and this is trap then i don't miss the rally !
And rest 85% i will use to buy at lower levels if all this happen exactly according to events !

Disclaimer - Do your own study before taking any decision !

The source (I don't know if it's the actual source or both these users have a different source)

1- Grayscale will unlock 41000 BTC in mid-JULY, which might cause the price of BTC to drop, as GBTC releases have done in the past. The good news is that this is the last GBTC release for Grayscale investors, so there will be no more.

THE SECOND BIG EVENT OF THE SEASON WILL TAKE PLACE ON JULY 21ST.

That is the Bitcoin meeting between Elon Musk and Jack Dorsey, which might result in some good news for BITCOIN, causing the price to rise from there.

So, in my opinion, BTC price may fall as a result of the final release of Grayscale GBTC, which will be followed by an expected positive event for BITCOIN!

Because the market is currently dominated by bears, the GBTC release could have a positive impact on the BTC price, allowing us to hit our low targets. After that, we could hear 2-3 or even more positive news in the market, which is what I am anticipating, and we could have a good bullish month in AUGUST.

So here's what I'm doing: I'm buying 15% of Bitcoin at the current price so that if nothing happens and this is a trap, I won't miss the rise!
And the remaining 85% will be used to buy at lower levels if everything goes as planned!

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

I only found a small part of copied content, high likely s/he copied from various sources and paraphrase it considering his/her post kinda off-topic, IMO.

some people are betting just for fun , there is sometime free money like bonus from casino little sums but just for fun because gambling is not good way for making money , the risk of gambling is ,for many people, gambling is harmless fun, but it can become a problem , because problem gambling is harmful to psychological and physical health. People who live with this always have those bad thing , You should not rely on gambling as a source of living

Please report Magicalking for plagiarism of a scam report on an external website. He reinterpreted some of it but a lot of it remains the same.

Original, published on June 2: https://www.valforex.com/sppcoindom-review-another-bizarre-crypto-scam/

Copy, posted on July 5: Sppcoindom.com is a Scam Platform

Copied text has been highlighted on original and bolded in post.

From the original:

From the post:

The platform claims to be an investment company. There's a lot of missing information about the origin of the company and managers. Although the platform looks professional and the user interface is friendly.

From the original:

From the post (slightly spun):

There is a dark mist looming over the platform.

From the original:

From the post (directly plagiarized):

2. Identity of the Business Owner
The identity of who owns and runs the platform remains hidden. Investing in an anonymous online investment platform is more or less throwing your money in the wind. Once you deposit funds, there's no telling who is responsible.

From the original:

From the post (directly plagiarized):

3. Domain history
The website was launched on August 16, 2020. The domain shares the same server as other low-ranking crypto investment websites.
From their domain history, it shows that the platform has a low trust score on search engines. Plus there is no active community of the investment except fake testimonials

Then he kind of ran out of steam and very briefly paraphrased the remainder of the article.

However I was curious so I decided to dig deep into the platform. These are my findings

No, you didn't. And no, they aren't.

Your thoughts and opinions on any subject re authentic and it is the originality and authenticity that is valued

Introductory part for comparison

In August 1991, NIST (Nation Institute of Standards and Technology) proposed a digital signature algorithm (DSA) for use in their digital signature standard (DSS). DSA is an algorithm, and DSS is a standard. The standard uses algorithms, algorithms are part of the standard.

But NIST’s announcement has caused a lot of condemnation, and these condemnations are more political than academic. Many large software companies that have obtained the RSA algorithm patent license have also against DSS. They have invested a lot of money to implement the RSA algorithm. Of course, they do not want these funds to be lost in vain.

I am not a native English speaker. If I have logic errors, grammar and vocabulary errors, please help me to correct them. Thank you.

I will say in the words of pooya87 "It is not your English, there are fundamental flaws in what you explain. Maybe you should avoid trying to explain to others things you don't fully understand yourself", especially when the user is trying to explain something to someone without specifying a link to the source. I want to add that I probably would not have paid attention to this post if I had not seen the link to it in the thread [self-moderated / Report unmerited good posts to Merit Source].

It looks like he's been trying to get Merit from the day he joined, and he did earn 75 Merit in a short time.
When I first registered for an account, my goal was to become a legendary member,I also try my best to do this, replying to 7-8 posts on average every day.But now for me, merit is a secondary aspect,The more important thing is to learn knowledge and make good friends in the forum! But I don't regret that I have suffered those words before. Maybe after many years, it will be interesting to see my naive reply in my newbie period again. Cheesy

Thank you very much for trusting me, I am definitely not active in bitcointalk for bounty. I reviewed my previous post. It does have similarities with the post pointed out by icopress.

The DSA content I posted was not copied directly from the link he pointed out.As I said in the article, I am not a native English speaker. It is still difficult for me to read articles in pure English.

My purpose in posting this post is to hope that others can point me out mistakes so that I can learn better. But unfortunately this is suspected of plagiarism.I won't make the same mistake again in the future. About technical posts, I will read more and less reply.

I found the previous manuscript. I do have a step-by-step verification. Not plagiarism for merit!

I am also trying to learn programming knowledge to better understand everything about Bitcoin.

Thanks again to everyone who helped me correct my mistakes

@kxwhalexk  There's nothing wrong with not knowing English very well or even quoting various aspects of the works (including English) of other persons or other places on the internet.  If you quote anything lengthy from someone else (perhaps even a whole sentence), then you should give attributions. or provide a link regarding from where you got the material or explanation that actually might say something similar that you want to say, but you feel that the material or explanation makes the point better than you would (or could).

1) Self-Custody is a right.  There is no such thing as "non-custodial" or "un-hosted."  2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized.  3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

To be honest, I was a little confused in your statements, since at first you said that you wanted to hear criticism and recommendations from other users regarding your publication. Then you said that the text was copied from another source (probably local), but in the same post you explicitly state that these calculations belong to you, once again emphasizing that the purpose of the publication is to get feedback, (otherwise why ask other users to point out your mistakes, if in the first post, the copied calculations were published verbatim).

In addition, I do not quite understand the purpose of posting handwritten calculations, since looking at these fuzzy images, it is impossible to distinguish anything. ... and how your desire to study programming relates to the topic of our conversation. To summarize, I recommend that you at least once turn your gaze to un'rules, since in the future you are likely to encounter much less loyal users than those who, by chance, were involved in this discussion. Good luck'

OK, so it sounds like kxwhalexk did not, in fact, commit plagiarism.  That's good to know, as I wasn't going to merit any of his posts until I found out whether he was going to get banned for it or not--and there was at least one post of his that I thought was good enough to merit.

Misunderstandings happen, and they happen even more frequently when there's a language barrier.  But it sounds like the forum is important to kxwhalexk, so I'm actually happy he didn't break that most sacred of rules and get himself a permaban.

I reviewed my previous post. It does have similarities with the post pointed out by icopress.

The DSA content I posted was not copied directly from the link he pointed out.
I'm still confused by this part: if it's a verbatim copy, it's copied. It doesn't matter if you use copy/paste or type it yourself.

Unless of course you own https://www.programmersought.com/article/7824960278/, which also uses Chinese text in a screenshot, just like your post here.

I do not quite understand the purpose of posting handwritten calculations, since looking at these fuzzy images, it is impossible to distinguish anything.
At least it proves he spent effort on the post. That's what makes kxwhalexk stand out from the lazy (or even automated) copy/pasting to reach signature targets (which made me start this thread 4 years ago).
I barely see those cases anymore, so I'd say Bitcointalk is better now. But as "Is Bitcointalk.org losing user base?" shows, we need users too Smiley And I think we should be careful not to ban users for mistakes. I can't emphasize enough how unique Bitcointalk is on banning users for plagiarism. And although that makes perfect sense when it's a lazy way to earn from a signature campaign, I believe (some) users deserve a heads up first.

Thank you for your trust, time will prove my love and loyalty to the forum!

I was a little confused in your statements
In fact, I encountered some calculation confusion. There was something wrong with my final check. I did not get the same result for the two signatures. I want to make sure again that the formula used is correct. As you said, I posted in the wrong way. In the future, I will post my own questions directly instead of quoting from the article. I have disclosed my email and TG. If you are interested, please PM me and I will take a high-definition picture for you. I really hope that we can clear up this misunderstanding and become friends. By the way, I will reread the rules. Thank you very much!

My English is college level. But without a phonetic environment, I might just read some daily magazines. I have no ability to read articles with high expertise such as blockchain, so I have to catch Google Translate. I also use Google Translate for some of my regular posts.

In the future, if you need to quote the text, I will definitely add the source! Thanks for reminding me!

First of all I can assure you that I have never been to the site before, but I suspect that the Chinese page I read was itself a translation from the site. That's probably why my quote looks so much like the article. Thanks again for your PM and trust in me.

Now, my time zone is approaching 1 a.m., finally getting this thing settled. My mood has calmed down a lot. I know more about the forum and some of the people in the forum are more familiar to me. I remember a lot of names. Thank you for talking to me. Good night

Some of your word choices come off as a bit awkward, strange and even fail to capture the kinds of relationships that many members attempt to establish in a forum like this.

Sure some members do get to know each other, and sure some members do send trust ratings and even trust feedback based on their interactions with members - but these are not likely anything related to love or like or to be friends - but instead maybe just attempting to make representations regarding if someone is good for their word in terms of possibly trading or doing business or holding/transmitting value.

Another aspect is merit, which frequently will deal with how helpful, thought provoking or entertaining members find other members posts to be - of course, there are likely subjective components regarding either using aspects of the trust system and even providing feed back, and sure merit source members are going to have some additional requirements not to be abusive with their sending of merits.  Of course, there are certain values in accumulating merits, too in terms of being able to get into signature campaigns or otherwise potentially having more credibility on the forum.

Of course, I cannot speak for other forum members, and sure it can take a while for forum members to get to know aspects of each other whether through posting of information, engaging in trades, participating in signature campaigns or other interactions.  Sometimes when trust is lost or flags are raised based on interactions, it can take time to recover from those kinds of hits - or some members will just end up losing credibility too.. so your choices about how to go forward can make differences -including that some members might be nice to you, but still develop suspicions if your position is all over the place or you are changing your own posts without adequate explanations.. so I cannot really tell you what practices are better because many of your actions and word choices are discretionary.. and if you might be getting misunderstood in English, it may well be better post less frequently in English to attempt to make sure that you are not all over the place in terms of your words and your actions.

I have seen some members improve their English a lot through the years of posting on the forum.. and like I mentioned above sometimes, it might be better to not be trying to present too many complicated ideas, and some things (actions or contradictory posts or contradictory actions) are NOT going to be easily explained away merely by saying that there might have been some language related issues.

In the future, if you need to quote the text, I will definitely add the source! Thanks for reminding me!

It's a good habit to try to do that, and sometimes members find information on the internet or they get their information from unclear sources (like you mentioned if it may have been a translation of a translation), and sometimes just explaining within your post or your citing of other materials that you are not sure where the ideas came from, but they were not your own.. can be helpful too... ...

You may consider that forum admins might not immediately decide to suspend or ban you, but they might decide to take actions at a later date or consider your case to NOT rise to quite a high enough level of egregiousness (like Loyce had mentioned) - especially if there might be some confusion regarding what happened, how it happened and then if there might be other examples of your postings that are seeming to be more than just mere slip ups...

Of course, your explanation and also assertion that you are going to fix matters in your future posts could help in some circumstances - but might not be enough to guarantee that admins won't do anything about the matter... even if they might not act right away.

Completely plagiarised post, I don't have issues with the above user but again I found his weird post while going through the gambling discussion board which looks like copied it from another source.

at the first modern olympic Games in 1896, there were just nine different sports: athletics, cycling, fencing, gymnastics, shooting, swimming, tennis, weightlifting and wrestling.in tokyo, there will be 33 different sports represented by 50 separate disciplines across 339 events.
That's an awful lot of sport to cram into 17 days of competition.well, in addition to the 28 core sports, there have been five additions to the Tokyo program to improve local interest: karate, sport climbing, surfing, skateboarding and baseball/softball.

Among low-income economies, where vaccination has lagged, growth has been revised lower to 2.9%. Setting aside the contraction last year, this would be the slowest pace of expansion in two decades.
The group’s output level in 2022 is projected to be 4.9% (according to World Bank) lower than pre-pandemic projections.

Fragile and conflict-affected low-income economies have been the hardest hit by the pandemic, and per capita income gains have been set back by at least a decade.

the global economy is poised to stage its most robust post-recession recovery in 80 years in 2021. But the rebound is expected to be uneven across countries, as major economies look set to register strong growth even as many developing economies lag.

Managing your money at a casino requires self-control. Nice to see that you have full control over your money reserved for gambling purpose. Successful casino gamblers understand the math and odds behind the games, but discipline with money is also critical.
However, there’s no sense in setting a gambling budget if you’re going to break your own rules when you play through the money you’ve set aside for gambling.

If you want to make gambling a long-term hobby, make sure you never gamble with more money than you’re willing to part from.

In practice, that means greater privacy, because your keys won't have as much exposure on the chain. "You can kind of hide who you are a little bit better, which is good," said Brandon Arvanaghi, previously a security engineer at crypto exchange Gemini.
It won't translate to greater anonymity for your individual bitcoin address on the public blockchain, but it will make simple transactions indistinguishable from those that are more complex and comprised of multiple signatures.
These souped-up signatures are also a game changer for smart contracts, which are self-executing agreements that live on the blockchain. Smart contracts can theoretically be used for practically any kind of transaction, from paying your rent each month, to registering your vehicle.
Taproot makes smart contracts cheaper and smaller, in terms of the space they take up on the blockchain. Killeen says that this enhanced functionality and efficiency presents "mind blowing potential."

Bitcoin is actually a meta-universe constructed by Satoshi Nakamoto. The meta universe is an existence that transcends the reality of the universe, and naturally transcends the secular life of mankind, transcends human morality, law, religion, joy, anger, sorrow, and joy, and is an objective existence like the sun, moon, and stars that is not subject to any human will.
This is something I couldn’t understand a few years ago,How can you accept this and viewpoint without the precipitation and accumulation of cognition.
