As bitcoin is volatile as altcoin is.
We can predict it but the way altcoin performs now in our market we can say that the value of altcoin in year 2020 will be increasing.
I hope eth will follow what does btc and alt are doing.

Yes I also hope that way, in 2020 hopefully ETH able to have a price like BTC. I think that's impossible, Bitcoin is the source of altcoin market movement, it is quite impossible that ETH can compete with BTC. |

I am following Ethereum and Stratis for now. In my opinion all them are following market sentiments, that is sell at Pump and buy at Dump to re-sell when pumped.

Which altcoins do you think will see year 2020 with prosperity and why they will survive?
I think following will be there
1) Ripple / because of its application in banking use
2) Ether / because its smart contracts and scripting functionality
3) Dash / Instant send and private send
i following ripple and doge because i am currently holding some of that . Yes ripple is having potentiality even after lots of speculation ripple died its surviving and growing better . For ether is another bitcoin we should hold. Also Look Into Waves its doing better |

I'm following all of them, especially new attractive projects with big plans and big money invested in campaigns, this makes me feel better when i'm invests. I won't say i love this, or that, everything is oportunity when meets right conditions.

In order to achieve that, the alts must be able to exist independently from Bitcoin. That is not the case now. The altcoin exchange rates are directly linked to that of BTC. The alt-fiat trade is much lower in volume, when compared to the alt-BTC volumes. This itself reveals one of the major vulnerabilities of the altcoins. |

I think following will be there

don't know about Ripple because it has not been on my radar but keeping an eye on it for now 2) Ether / because its smart contracts and scripting functionality this is a valid point and many other projects are using the eth algorithm which guarantees continuous ether demand and prosperity. 3) Dash / Instant send and private send Dash has continued to show continuous growth and i believe it will make it to 2020 among other successful alts. ___________________________________________________________ maybe waves should be put on the watch list as well...... |

Too true, no one can predict the future but its fair to say certain alts have a better chance than others. In my opinion that means the ones that offer unique features and/or are already so established in the market (like ltc, doge, eth) |

only ether out of those 3 for me. Ripple just seems bad overall and kinda scammy. Dash will probably be replaced by something better but similar. Ether is the only one that has something none of the others have, but if something comes along and has it then it will be obsolete too. Real answer is: none of the above, only bitcoin will survive for life |
