I'm curious to know what sort of price you would expect to pay. A quick calculation using today's difficulty and btc price shows a 9ghash hosted miner should generate around 0.21 btc per day, which equals about $22. I know that btc per day will only go down but I'd have to be mad to give that up at the moment, and what happens if btc $ price goes up substantially...
Each miner is only 4.5GH/s, so the output in BTC would be half of what you estimate, per unit. Based on the dates in the first post, it would seem that buying earlier-batch units rather than batch 6 units would get them in my hands about a month faster. So, 30 days x 0.1 BTC per day = a potential 3 BTC. Accounting for the predicted increase in difficulty and the risk in BTC value changing, I'd be willing to split that with the seller and pay a 1.5BTC premium over Steamboat's stock price for an assembled batch 6 unit. I might go higher for a batch 1 unit, maybe lower for batch 5. This isn't like the people selling BFL preorders on eBay, where you could get a miner many months before the delivery date of a fresh order placed today. I just have stuff going on in my life in August/September that will distract me from projects like this, so I'm willing to pay a small premium (emphasis on small) to reduce that potential headache down the line. Worst case, I order the extra units from Steamboat and deal with it in September.

Guys, you might want to verify with steamboat if he is open to people trading their batch purchases.
Doing so probably involves some level of extra organization on his part and he may or may not be open to doing so. After all he is running this low cost group buy & board assembly service primarily to help people.

I actually did think about that already. If I end up buying someone's whole order, then Steamboat already allows address changes. From the original post: You may choose to change your address a maximum of two times. In order to change your shipping address you must sign the change order with the purchase address. If I'm buying a partial order, I'll just leave the address alone and ask the original purchaser to forward to me. It's a minor extra cost that won't be a problem for me to cover. Can't speak for anyone else, of course!

The email system is currently being tested. If you did not receive a test email, please check your spam folder and email asicbuy[at]gmail[dot]com with the subject "failed to receive test email"
There were a few of you who received more than 1 test email. This has been fixed.
Update:
The payment gateway is currently in the final testing phase, and should be up by tomorrow at the latest, and likely by tonight. An email will be sent notifying those who have previously purchased chips when the system is live.
It is recommended for those who receive this message to keep the website release private to reduce the excess server load caused by curious onlookers during the initial opening. Once the server has proven it can handle the load this information will be made public. This is a preventative measure. While we do not expect there to be any problems, we will not know for sure until the server has received it's baptism by fire.
Didn't get my email. Checked spam. Batch #4. 34 chips.

Looking at the site now...all the prices are USD. No BTC option? If not I'm screwed the money was already put into BTC and is tied up on coinbase until Friday He's using bitpay checkout. The USD amount is converted to a bitcoin amount at checkout by bitpay.

Filling out my order now for assembly and testing of 18 units. I was very dismayed to see my password shot back to me in cleartext in the "Welcome to your account" email I might suggest not doing that as a matter of good security practice. EDIT: BOING! Your order has been received. Thank you for your purchase! Your order # is: 100000015.

So I've got about 4 orders across different batches and wanted them hosted.
Is it the fully assembled option? I don't see where to pay the hosting charge
