so, i decided to build a dedicated miner
ofcourse i want as much Mhash/s for my bucks, so i went for a cheap motherboard, CPU and ram, a good PSU and a high-end graphics card
this translates to:

motherboard: ASUS p5kpl-vm
CPU: E6750 2.66Ghz
CPU cooler: Scythe Ninja mini cooler
RAM: 2Gb DDR2
PSU: OCZ modXstream pro 700W (overkill?)
graphics: HD6990

now, the question i mostly have: is the mobo/CPU combi good enough?
and 700 watt seems a bit overkill to me, wouldnt 600 or even 500 watts be enough (without later adding of graphics cards)
