Hi,

I currently have an MSI Z170A SLI PLUS motherboard and can only get 4x GTX 1070 GPU to work... I have tried everything.

I am about to but an ASUS PRIME Z270-A LGA1151, which takes 7 PCI-E and two M.2

This bloke claims he can do it.

Any thoughts before I part with money.

- Windows installed in uefi (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/manufacture/desktop/windows-setup-installing-using-the-mbr-or-gpt-partition-style)

I'll try that tomorrow on my conf

Hi,

I am sooo peeed off, I ordered this from Amazon yesterday for delivery today, and then they email me at 3am today saying they cannot deliver it as its not in stock, If they had bothetred to email me sooner, I could have got another sorted for today.

I have now had to buy one from somewhere else and pay a premium plus pay for Saturday delivery.

Oh well.

Running 8*1060 under Simplemining OS beta.

Can't make the 2nd M2 adapter to work, will try on an other board, maybe that one has this port broken.

BBT uses this board a lot in his builds. He also has a video walkthrough of what you need to do to get the Asus Z270-A / AR running with 6+ cards.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DR-FkpU2KfI

Next he's going to try 13 cards on the board using a PCI-E splitter! Cheesy

You will be pleased to know having fitted the new motherboard and followed the video on this thread ive now got 6 cards running at 180Mhs.

I might go and buy two more and see how it takes 8, I can then when the money build another 8 rig.

Thanks for your help, much appreciated.
