Alternative to paying gyft and egifter besides Bitpay

That 15 minute timer makes me leery of trying an alternative way to pay for gift cards. I usually get low volume cards at a time, and Bitpay is charging around 5 dollars for every transaction. Would an Electrum wallet help? Thanks!
