I'm interested to buy an Antminer U3.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

I have one of these sitting on a shelf.

It is still in the original box - the fiance wasn't happy with me running it on my desk at the time and I never put it back out after moving. Will provide pictures if requested, they just aren't worth a fortune so I don't have any currently.
