I just bought some bitcoins on mt.gox, then I generated an address with my wallet, then I sent the bitcoins from mt.gox to my wallet, and now my wallett says zero fucking balance and I cant find my bitcoins anywhere.
WTF?

Anybody have any idea?

Thanks..

You're screwed. Just kidding. Just give it some time.

Buy a TREZOR! Premier BTC hardware wallet. If you're reading this, you should probably buy one if you don't already have one. You'll thank me later.

Check the number of blocks that you've downloaded to your client.

It should say something like 131784 blocks... otherwise you have to wait for it to get up-to-date before you'll see your coins.

Yes you need to download the whole blockchain to find your transactions back.
All the transactions are kept in there and that's how the client knows how much money you have.
