Our partner SONCE energija, in cooperation with other high-tech partners, recently installed two additional solar power plants and a heat pump at  the nursing home, Dom Lenart in Slovenia as part of the BETAi project.
The goal of the BETAi project is the development of advanced energy services on the SunContract platform, the end user of which is the company Dom sv. Lenart, who provides institutional care for the elderly.

but the very good thing with this project is they survive and they are still working on it. how many renewable energy-related project still exist today? i believe, you can include this one as one of the few projects that made it throughout these years. it may be in downward trend today but with their continuous development on this project, at least, one can hope that one day they will be on the increasing side.

Will solar energy will still power my home during a power outage?

The answer is simple. If you are living on the grid and then power goes out, the grid system also goes out. Solar power will not serve as a backup generator. This happens so as to protect utility repairmen working to restore power. If electricity is backfed while utility repairmen are working on the lines, it could be dangerous or even fatal. As a result, your inverter knows that the grid has been shut off and shuts off the electricity generation that is driven from solar plants.

Due to the exceptional growth and movement of electricity prices on the market and the possibilities provided by the new Electricity Supply Act, we were the first provider on the Slovenian market to offer electricity purchase and sale packages according to the dynamic pricing system.
This system is fairer to customers because it follows current price movements on the wholesale energy exchange. Our customers who have already opted for such a package are extremely flexible, as they gain benefits almost as if they were participants in the electricity exchange and the balancing market at the same time.
In January, we additionally established a new market for participants with dynamic packages, which, in addition to the previously mentioned benefits, will also be able to conclude mutual P2P and individual agreements in the new dynamic price market at the SunContract energy market.

Soon the official data on whether your solar power plant produced surplus electricity in the past year will be known. However, if you have been included in the SunContract platform, you will be free to dispose of your surplus energy - use it this calendar year or transfer it to other collection points - parents, children, holiday apartments, neighbors,…

Through SunContract, the transfer of surpluses from self-sufficient power plants is possible for the third year in a row. And although under the new law it is also possible to sell surpluses this year, from a financial point of view, this is still the most optimally utilized surplus of energy produced by your power plant.
