There is Bisq of course - a DEX - which even lets you exchange between BTC and XMR among other pairs (including fiat), But I don't think KuCoin and possibly Bybit, Bitstamp have an anti-mixer policy either. Instant exchangers should usually also send it through.

Thinking about it, I don't remember seeing a person who has ever experienced a problem while using ChipMixer.
Since the service has been in existence, we would have already seen many and many people talking about it.
That's 5-6 years now...

And it's a bad approach to have anyway (from an exchange point of view)
Mixed coins could very well be yours, or someone who has paid you. In this case, it would be too easy and we could send mixed coins to well known personalities' addresses

Exemple: sending mixed coins to NGOs in Ukraine and voilà. Ukraine the vilain, Ukraine laundering money, and anything you want.

I have sent chips to Kraken, Binance, FTX, and most Brazillian exchanges for years. Never ever had funds locked or was questioned about where my coins came from. Of course, that could be different if you're sending a huge amount (my txs were < $10k at most times).

I once made the mistake of sending the coins that I've freshly mixed to Bitstamp instead of the ones in my regular wallet from which I always deposit there,  quite a large sum above 10k, but I haven't had a problem with them nor was any delay or any further inquiry, I was already verified, the account is 5 or 6 years old so probably they don't even care anymore, this could obviously change if a new user with zero trades deposits 4BTC out of the blue. But probably the risks are there even if you're not mixing coins at all, Bitstamp at least has asked a lot of users about proof of funds, so, the path those coins have taken becomes irrelevant.  

As for instant exchanges, I would stay away since a lot of these cases happen ¹

Hi, I have a query - I deposited coins to chipmixer and noted down what I thought was the correct voucher code - when I went back about 5 days later and restored my session with my session token it said that the voucher token was invalid?
So then I just withdrew the coins to electrum

Would these coins have been properly mixed?

Any withdraw from chipmixer means your funds would've been mixed.

I don't know why you've done this though. How long was your session open for? Vouchers survive longer than sessions do but it sounds like your session still holds your funds and you changed how you wanted to withdraw them (either by sweeping or exporting private keys).

In future, you should make a new session if you want to redeem a voucher or just restore your old session to spend funds (if you're within the week).

Any withdraw from chipmixer means your funds would've been mixed.

I don't know why you've done this though. How long was your session open for? Vouchers survive longer than sessions do but it sounds like your session still holds your funds and you changed how you wanted to withdraw them (either by sweeping or exporting private keys).

Yes.

The difference is your voucher won't expire but your session can (after 7 days, if not extended).

You can't, because outputs are faster than inputs from a blockchain perspective; you can't receive chips which were created using your just deposited funds, because you can only receive chips which were made before your deposit.

Actually, you can. The next time you use ChipMixer, it is possible you receive chips that were (partially) created from your own previous deposit. But it doesn't matter, you can prove (with a signed receipt) that those coins came from ChipMixer:

My bad. I wasn't referring to subsequent mixing, but to the preceding mixing-- the one made a little after you send coins.

One way to avoid the scenario of using your mixed deposited funds as future chip, is to be aware of the chip size that was used for these chips. Say, you sent 0.2 BTC, and ChipMixer later split that money to a 0.16 and 0.04 worth of bitcoin chips. Acquiring chips that aren't of that size (0.16, 0.04) insure you won't have this connection.

That makes me a bit worry after, because I must check to receive the address again to make sure I put the correct one.

Would it not let you progress with one or did you go a bit more investigative after the second confirmation? If you have noscript enabled then I could see that as being a reason it wouldn't progress to step 2 automatically and would wait for you to press it or potentially refresh.

The site also says only 1 confirmation is needed still on the deposit screen.

I mean, haven't you already done that? You should always check where the money goes.

NoScript is enabled by default in Tor, and since you can only access ChipMixer via Tor, waiting without refreshing won't work.

Same here. It's certainly possible they just bumped the conf. count to two, without updating the instructions.
Or their node is a bit slow..
