I agree with you. I am against shitposting, but in the current situation many members of the forum doing it.But for $ 300 a week, I'm willing to spend time studying the topic and writing useful content on the forum.
You shouldn't have good post quality just because you're paid for it. You should have the standard and then be rewarded for it. Merely doing something for a financial incentive shouldn't be how you perceive the forum.

The "no minimum post" is one of the most interesting things
I think forcing members to make xx posts weekly is counter-productive for the achievement of the intended purpose.

For example, sometimes I come to the forum but I have nothing to say and I just read people. I am not going to post "great project sir" here and there just for the sake to have something posted

^----- THIS! Quoted for truth... Have a merit on me.

Some days, all you do is read... no point posting if the (correct) answer has already been given. Too often I see an OP posting a "Great, thanks for the help, got it working"-type post and not locking the thread... Then the VERY next post (usually days later) is someone attempting to answer the OP (usually incorrectly because they haven't actually bothered to the thread)... with some shitcoin sig campaign signature Roll Eyes

Also, it you really want to see how bad things are... have a read of bill's "sMerit review" thread. It's quite a sad indictment of the general quality of posts these days... despite clearly setting specific rules, and offering advice about NOT posting on page 53276 of a megathread... users continue to link up "<insert generic statement about cryptocurrency here>" posts from every MegaThread expecting to get merit points Roll Eyes

That's right. I try to write useful posts. It takes time and distracts from the main work. I don't demand a reward for that. This is my hobby. But if the project offers a reward for good content, then I'm willing to spend more time studying problems and writing useful messages. Smiley

Don’t they want to receive payment for posts?

Most of the users participating in the campaign from what I have seen don't post to get paid AKA they're not exclusive bounty posters. For most of them signatures are a nice incentive to post not an obligation. Remember that one quality post can get you much more promotion than 100 shitty posts in those endless mega threads which no one apart from "bounty hunters" (oh god I hate that term, glorifies what is essentially shitposting) give two shits about.

I fucking love that you get it. I wish we had more Newbies like you.

Who told you that is a personal slight?! I make assumptions and you don't? Cheesy

I didn't put any word to anyones mouth, Joe said it and you agree to. Maybe you don't know what you write because this is a certain imply.

It certainly is a badge of honor

As for my question is not even a question and i give a very big shit when someone's "thoughts" (and posts) have a sence of misleading superiority against others.
I don't refer for the participants of any campaign or their service, i don't refer if this campaign have a very good members (which is certainly have and a lot of them are friends of mine) or the vivid have better than those who are here etc. I refer to the presentation of a service as a plus point/badge/medal/title/whatever for members and it's not.
If you want to put badges or you have an inside system to "honor" members which included here, be my guest.
You know how to write it without this sounds disrespectful, which is as you wrote it at first place.
Have a nice Sunday.

Quote
I didn't post here because i chase someone lol or i'm butthurt because someone thinks that a service is a forum badge. LOL
The way that bill gator write it, is disrespectful to me. End of story.
@ the licker: I will do what i see fit as you do already, regards.

Wow. I don't understand why you're taking this so personally. It's just "locker room" talk. Just in the same way that sports teams always pep each other up before a game, I've done the same here. My personal observations have led me to believe that this campaign hosts many great members of the forum. And I've voiced that this is the best campaign that I've been a part of and better than so many other campaigns. @bill gator agreed with me. You took it personal. Why? That's the part I'm trying to understand. Unless you have something personal against (a) this campaign, (b) DarkStar_, or (c) bill gator, I don't understand why you are, in fact, getting so butthurt about a little statement about the spirit of community here. Huh

There. That's a better statement than your last one, even if the main focus of it was to highlight the reward aspect of the campaign. Roll Eyes

When I first joined the campaign, BTC was worth around $2,000-2,500/ea. That meant that getting paid for a maximum of 50 posts was under $100. While other campaigns at the time were paying higher, the reason I chose this one is because I used ChipMixer for a few weeks after reading the announcement thread. I personally endorsed the product; I have never worn a signature for a company that I didn't personally endorse in my bitcointalk history.

Even then, for being a new campaign, the posts by ChipMixer participants were pretty good. Over time, they got better and better. One of the reasons I loved this campaign was because there was no minimum post requirement for the week. In previous campaigns, I was so tired of all the shitposting done by participants just to meet the minimum/maximum. It's great that you recognize the rewards for posting great content, but the reason I love this campaign is because none of us talk about the rewards we receive. Go back and check this thread history. While I'm sure we all care about the earnings, I think I speak for most in this campaign when I say that the earnings is not what motivates us. It's just a byproduct for the carefully manicured posts that are created by the members.

Thank you, I found an exhaustive answer to my question. Plan posts performs about 20% of the participants.  It really speaks to the fact that many people do not work for money. I hope that in the future in the company for me there is a place.

This is one thing I have learnt being on this campaign as its more about quality. Times without number I would have set a target for myself and I could not meet it because I did not see any thread that my knowledge can add value to. I just decide till tomorrow maybe I will see and this is something that has been working to the advantage of the campaign and despite that, there is an increase in the amount of merit given on a weekly basis analysis done by the campaign manager.

The most surprising to me is that even when I could not meet up, and I feel that I am lagging behind in posts for the week as other participants have gone beyond the maximum only to see the updated spreadsheet that quite a number of people have the same issues as focus is on content rather than post counts...

Just for the record, I have zero expectations of everyone/most people posting 50 a week.

I do the same as you audaciousbeing. I read through hundreds of threads per week, and definitely avoid adding anything to the topic if I feel that it won’t be contributing. There are times I would like to embellish on other users’ posts at times, but in the spirit of better judgment, I usually decide that their replies are good enough for me to not have to post just for the sake of posting.

And I have said it before, and I will say it again: @DarkStar_ has done and continues to do a phenomenal job of pruning and manicuring great members of this campaign. Having recently started a posting challenge, I know the work and time involved in reviewing no more than half of the amount of posts that he has to on a weekly basis. It is not an easy task by any means.

+1

I'm also in the same situation here, sometimes I don't have anything to say, sometimes I don't find any interesting topics.
In my last campaign, I was unable to reach the minimum post almost in every week.

When you have nothing to say, but you are forcing yourself to post for the sake of sig. campaign then probably you will make a low-quality post.

This week's payments were sent. (609cef9981edac9ecc25f4687a143789c02f61fea4b7ad02ac6470a2fdd8abdf)

TheQuin was awarded a bonus of 0.0075BTC (yes they do exist, although they're quite rare)

Was the bonus for the most posts that didn't qualify? Wink

I see our merit stats have gotten a bit goofy on the spreadsheet, because of formatting errors or something like that I presume. Thanks for getting posts counted before the day ended, not that it particularly matters; I was just rooting for you getting it done on time. Week 7 (for me) payment has been received with multiple confirmations already.

Seriously though, might we have more information on the bonus, if for curiosity if nothing else? Or are they meant to be a mystery? Do you spin a 58 sided die with all our names on it? The possibilities are seemingly endless.

Merit stat errors is due to Google being unable to scrape properly (maybe due to Cloudflare). Wait a bit and it will be working, or have different people with errors. Weird stuff, and not really fixable on my part as far as I know.

Nice to get a confirmation within a minute with only 2sat/byte Cheesy

For bonuses:

1d10 to determine whether a bonus will be given, roll above 9 for a bonus. +1 on Roll if my Luck status is greater than 50.
1d58 to determine who gets the bonus
1d6 to determine the size of the bonus, where the roll is multiplied by 0.0025 BTC.

In all seriousness (above was my poor attempt at DnD), I've given them to those who stand out a lot. I'd be stuck forever if it was for the best poster/post, and a random bonus is kinda pointless. HCP and TheQuin stood out by posting a lot of posts which appeared to have taken a lot of effort to make; pooya87 got one for making numerous technical posts that stood out (if I remember correctly anyway).

Jesus, I don't know how it's possible for them to have made so many posts. Must be a robot—I thought it was pretty difficult to make 50 or 40 constructive posts in a week, let alone the sheer amount that TheQuin posted.
Certainly deserves the bonus then.

I like the reference. It got a smile out of me, and I was willing to accept this as fact. Fair enough, I don't know how you can possibly see someone as standing out in this campaign, because it is full of a ridiculous amount of exactly the type of people that would stand-out in a campaign. Congratulations TheQuinn, and the other previous benefactors of bonuses. I hope to roll the die myself someday. 1d58 always been good to me.
