What is an affordable rack to house my mining components? Most I see are rather expensive and could be built for much less.

https://rignetworks.com/it's made of all wood hand crafted with a lot of room, the seller seems like he cares a lot, for the money it's not to bad but don't expect to much on the high end if you want one of those expect it to cost like 120 or more with fans etc ...make sure to look though the Product Catalog. or Make your own ..you can find tons of posts on the forums of frames others came up with, in other posts..

Now that looks like something affordable that would work. Do you have more pictures on how the GPUs are mounted?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/222427931353?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AITI have that one on my wish list on Ebay in the US and plan to buy it soon .....it looks awesome and looks worth the 149 it sells for in the US or A version of the one you linked sold in the US . cryptomined.com seems cool if it's the same guy on YouTube, he does a lot of You tube stuff on mining and has his own store the only reason, i don't buy off him shipping can be as much or more for what I'm buying, not worth it to me .

They are very well crafted. I'd say they are easily Industrial quality. He is sold out on eBay now, but I'm hoping he has more being made this summer.

The cheapest will always be DIY. I made mine out of wood so they cost next to nothing. Though I just ordered a couple of these ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1921659.msg19063053) closed cases to see if they're worth it and how cooler it is - if at all - due to extra airflow compared to big open frames.

I am also looking for comparison between few open frame design rigs and a closed one, so would be grateful if you share some results. Cheers

make your own, free or very cheap vs 150$+. it's ultra easy, and fast.

i would not use wood for it you can make one in alluminium for $20 with allt he connectorsa nd tube, don't need to risk to catch fire with wood, alluminium is much safer, just use plastic motherboard standoffs

I just did a build of the BBT mining case below out of two 8ft pieces of 1/8" x 3/4" angled aluminum, one 8ft 1" x 2" piece of pine and #8 1/2" self-tapping screws for about $50 in parts at Lowes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D5xNrlxsCVsThe only tools needed were a drill with a 3/32" hex titanium drill bit to drill pilot holes and a #2 phillips screwdriver bit. A hacksaw with a 32 tooth blade and a plastic miter box to cut the aluminum and wood. It took about 4-5 hours since it was my first time building one. The case is very sturdy and can support up to 7 GPU's. You could also use 1/16" angled aluminum pieces if you want to save money.

There are grooves the fit in that space the gpus perfectly to be zip tied and stay in place. There's also plastic spacers that separate the shelves that I use as spacers below the motherboard. https://imgur.com/gallery/WeW0L

I found a place online that sells kits, but it's like $180 a kit might as well buy one prebuilt (kit probably makes more than 1 rig but don't know)

It works absolutely great! Looks like some kind of homebrew abomination but it gets the job done. One thing I hated about mining was babysitting the rig. Glad I'm over it but I'm always tempted to dust off the old equipment.

Use wood instead of aluminum. The wood won't go on fire, wood ignites at like 250C and at that temp even your aluminum frame would get issues.
Aluminum is bad because since it conducts electricity it might cause a huge short if some cable becomes loose.
