Hi! This week a registered at Bitpanda, verified my ID and bought some ETH. Everything seems ok on that side.

I also installed Ethereum Wallet and Geth to create a new Wallet to transfer those ETH. The sync process took long (geth --fast --cache=1024 helped a lot), but I finally have the account to be able to buy and sell BTC, ETH or other cryptocurrencies. This was of course the first step before being able to actually buy something at Bitpanda.

The problem is, the wallet is empty and the funds seem to be in some kind of limbo. What must I do to see them in my Ethereum wallet? Bitpanda shows everything is ok, but I'm sure I've missed something.

On Ehtereum Wallet's main account there's a clear message:

"Accounts can't display incoming transactions, but can receive, hold and send ether. To see incoming transactions create a wallet contract to store ether."

So I'm trying to create a wallet contract (it's also taking ages) to solve this but I'm not sure if this will be enough.

Thanks Smiley

what was the address have you checked etherscan?

https://etherscan.io/

i have geth mist the address is main account you don't have to create a contract.

"Accounts can't display incoming transactions, but can receive, hold and send ether. To see incoming transactions create a wallet contract to store ether."

you can receive payment you need to make sure you are synced. i had to delete the blokchain once as my wallet didn't sync but check everything before this.

Thanks for the quick reply.

The address is checked at Etherscan, everthing is ok there, it shows the transactions.

I don't understand exactly what you mean with:

"i have geth mist the address is main account you don't have to create a contract."

But maybe the reason is I'm not synced. I've made a 'geth removedb', 'geth upgradedb' and then 'geth --fast --cache=1024' to rebuild the chaindata and see if that way I can sync. It's doing it now, let's see what happens...

If you already have a "private key" or a "keystore file", why not use https://www.myetherwallet.com/ --> "view wallet info"?

Then you don't need to download the blockchain/sync yourself.

Good to know! The ETH shows at MyEtherWallet (great tip!) so everything seems fine here finally! I'm trying to resync but I'm having problems with that process on my laptop, let's see if it finish syncing today.

Thank you guys Smiley
