What do you think about terrorism?..I mean, will it ever end?

I am a citizen of the Philippines, specifically in Mindanao group of island. This Maute Group(an alleged ally of ISIS) is terrorizing one of the city here in Mindanao and just started a war against the Philippine Army. Now, If these group will be successful, we would be like Syria. I wanna hear your opinions about these guys. thanks.

The main reason why there's terrorism is just difference of belief,
each people has their own belief and if someone strongly fights for his belief there's where terrorism starts.

It will never end, Terrorism in the Philippines is very much alive. As of the moment, Philippine Army is in control and most likely will end the siege in a month or two. But the thing is they are terrorists, They will just recruit and build an army again to engage another war. They will never stop, Terrorism will never end as long as they are financed by someone.

each people has their own belief and if someone strongly fights for his belief there's where terrorism starts.

Terrorism is all about religious division and sometimes pure hatred by our islamic brothers and sisters, they will just do anything to kill and maim others of different beliefs, as long as the Quran incites them to a Holy War, they will forever be violent, The Israelis building a wall seemed to help, so why shouldn't the Americans try the same as well.

The issue of terrorism is something that if it will end will take a long time because the cause of it to the best if my knowledge is fundamental which is going back to the basics of the teachings people get to engage in it in the first place because at the point where people have the thinking that they can fight against the forces of government with all the arms and ammunitions in the armoury of a country, and they are ready to die to achieve that, then its no longer a child's play. In this case, since its fairly new in Philippines, if its cut off immediately to the root, it will take a while before they regroup and enlightment on the part of government so that people won't go back to join under the guise of  fighting injustice.

In that case, there should be no incidents of terrorism in Syria. The only legal and recognized political party there is the Syrian Ba'ath party. But it is not true. Half of the country is under the control of the ISIS, and a large section is also under the control of Al Nusra.

I think in Vietnam's case, the ethnic homogeneity did help. The Communist party already won and there is nothing else to squabble about. That's why countries like Japan and South Korea have no separatist groups. There's very little cultural and religious differences. (

With the Philippines, Muslims are also a different ethnic group. Save for inter-ethnic marriages, being Muslim is seen as an identity. Interesting to note that before the republic was created, there are areas that are now provinces that has declared independence separately from other regions. You don't see those provinces going in revolt. Why? They are Christian-majority.

If the terrorists keep on attacking Maute, the terrorists will have an opportunity to reinforce backup and terrorize the city even worse. The president of the Philippines would have no choice but to declare Martial Law so we can prevent this crisis from happening.

It's funny how all this started after President Durte put an end to the illegal gun sales, threatened to close all U.S. military bases, and shut down the central bank.  He never requested the U.S. Special Forces, they just showed up.  I don't think that is a good thing.

My heart melts whenever I read an article correlating Islam or Muslims to be the terrorists. I know some Muslim people and they are very nice to me. I can't say anything bad to them especially my professor way back in college which is a Muslim. She is very kind and considerate and she explained to us that muslim people are not bad.

Since is like this it then mean terrorism will never end and it will continue going woste because the holy scriptures foretold all this. The only thing we can do now is to continue praying for God intervention and help.

We cannot stop the killings and any other criminality.  But terrorism, like what the ISIS doing right now I guess can be stopped.  This group was funded by maybe a powerful person, a greedy one who all wants to do is business.  Yes, this is business.  They earn through the armory of the terrorist group and the soldiers through the firearms and ammunition they are using.  If people will not become greedy and become selfless maybe that is the only way it could stop.  So the best thing is for the government to make an all out war to these terrorist.
