does anyone know of a mining bios for the ti?

as per now you cannot change bios from 10xx cards - you can just adapt settings e.g. via MSI Afterburner - works well for the 1080ti, you just have to find out the optimal settings for your specific model.

What are the best drivers for the 1080ti's?  Is it the latest or does the community have  general consensus on a good release version?  I picked up two 1080ti's (asus strix oc).  I came from R9 Fury's (it was generally accepted that 16.3.2 were the best drivers for those, that's where I'm getting at, is there a preferred driver for the 1080ti's when it comes to mining... say particularly skein/myriad groestl)?

I've not found any noticeable difference

Thanks for the heads up.

does anyone know of a mining bios for the ti?

unless its a tweak bios from the manufacturer, it is a no for pascal cards. Nvidia would not want you to have access to the holy grail

Yeah been tweaking a bit, main problem I had at the beginning was a card would hang, windows reported a driver crash and recovery, but the primary card would go back to stock settings. I think it was down to a dodgy algo as even if I underclocked they did it, hasn't done it for a week or so now.

When a card crash it resets afterburner settings, likely it is your main gpu that's unstable. I guess it has to drive teamviewer or the monitor and is under more stress, so stability issues hits the main gpu first.

So ETH heist happened and now ebay flooded with cards lol

I'd assume -the ballerz up in here would be loading up on cards now to mine

1080ti  are same price right now but the "predictions" are prices should normalize around summer.

How much power is needed for 6 x 1080 TI (EVGA)?

Would 1600w PSU be enough ?

I've tried switching them around, teamviewer doesn't have to be running for it to happen, I've tried dropping main GPU right down but it doesn't resolve it, surely it's not under stress enough when reduced?

^^ to add to that, I get the hardware warning on windows 7 telling me I should update to windows 10, I just despise the auto update reboot when you don't want feature of 10, am I right in thinking it is not faster for mining?

What is record speed for 1080ti on eht algo?

During my test it is 32 MH with default clocks on MSI GAMING X GTX 1080 TI. I think you shouldn't use your card to mine ethereum if you own 1080ti. Equihash is better then eth.

I have a small rig on the side running with 2 1070's, i'm building new 1080ti rig.
But can i add one 1080ti to the rig with 1070's will it work good together?
Do i have to mine the same thing with al three or can i set the 1080 for another also without to many headache?

You can mix it. Can also mine other if needed. Just hv to select the correct device for each of the mining program

The setting depends on your card model. For FE edition, all my cards can do +150 core, -502 mem, 80% tdp. It gives 670 sols.

Are you guys sure we can't change BIOS on 1xxx cards? Because forum like overclock.net is flooded with modded BIOS for different cards.

I'm certainly no expert, I'm just learning about all of this.  But, my understanding is that Nvidia encrypted the BIOS on these cards, whereas other cards you can download the BIOS in plain text or readable format.  So until someone figures out how to decrypt the BIOS of the Nvidia's then all bets are off.

Yea I looked through some of those bios edits

Maybe there are good edits that would work well with mining. But nothing I saw over at overclock would be what we want.

Most of it is looking for more power draw and pure power not efficiency.
