MSI GTX 1080Ti Sea Hawk X 11 GB - what u think about this card? is it good to buy liquid cooled GPU-s? I can get this one cheap, it's used but fairly new and i have guarantee on it for almost 3 years as it's few months old.

Worth buying?

Don't really need liquid cooling, especially if you have it on risers, they run cool.

I can get this one cheaper then fan cooled 1080TI, it's a good offer. I am just curious how are liquid cooled GPU-s for mining? I would say better but more costly? But in this case, this one will be cheaper for me.

Should i go for it? I also think this model is quite good, so should provide nice Hashrate

How can I update ccminer to add the skunk algo? I don't want to compile from source again. Also, i have cuda 8.0, but it looks like there is only a skunk release for cuda 9.0. is that going to be an issue? I really don't want to change anything.

edit: nevermind, just cloned it and installed everything all over. skunk algo working fine

Look into the eyes.

Not yet, if it doubles again it will be there tho. Assuming the difficulty doesn't spike to infinity

If your going down the route of gpu mining depending on how many cards you want to use your going to need a pc with a decent sized power supply again depending on how many cards and a few pci slots and optionally some pci risers to add in more cards.

www.whattomine.com can give you an idea of how much you are set to earn if you know what cards/hashrate your aiming for.

Little noob question; Im mining Skein with 8x 1080ti doing 8.5GH/s average.. The intensity is automated by CCMiner Alexis at 27, would it be better to change it for the card or leave it be? I had to up my difficulty to 16 too because I was getting a lot of rejects at hashrefinery due to high hashrate. Any tips ?

Regards

I have 2x ftw3 1080ti mining Zec, temp on gpu0 is up to 68 temp on gpu1 max 63 even though gpu1 doing more hashrate, anyone knows what's the problem ?
Cheers

I have the same thing going on with my FTW3s. Your bottom card is heating up your top card causing it to down clock. What settings are you using?  I put a small fan blowing on the top card to try and keep the temps below 60.

Same here, works fine for me.

I`m using sniffdog for last couple of days mining skein and from time to time notice strange decrease in hashrate. This image perfectly illustrates the problem, it has started 4 hours ago and still persists. All this time my sniffdog miner shows straight 4.7Gh/s at 5x 1080 ti, while website only sees 1.3Gh/s.

Can anyone confirm having this too? I only found posts regarding high reject value, but nothing regarding my case.

Maybe I'm babying the cards to much but I get antsy if they get above 65 degrees plus the fan uses less electricity than the air conditioner.

Depends.  If you set TDP to 60, Temp to 80, core to +120, mem to -500, it will get about 700 Sols for 173 watts.  Doesn't overclock well in my experience, though.

If it's cheap enough, I would go for it.

Wont Seahawk be easier to clock or push limits as it has better cooling and Clocks are same like Gaming X? Base, gaming and OC mode clocks are same based on MSI website.

You're answering your own question.. if you're getting a cheap 1080 ti and it still has the warranty then get it... lol. The liquid cooler may run cooler but its not necessary, especially since most of us lower tdp anyways, but if you're getting it for cheaper.. then get it?? lol. I've never bought used cards, so I don't know the risk that brings.

Yes, it is good to get 1080ti cheaper, but you must beware of the risk that if this card used properly during mining.

What's the best hashrate you can pull with monero cryptonight? Mine does 840 h/s @ 126W 56C +110 clock -500 mem clock with 60x34 launch-config ccminer. People report up to 900 but can't seem to go near the drivers crash if I overclock more.

It's not worth doing monero on 1080ti. A 580 does 700h/s at 90w. Vega 64 does 1000h/s at 110w.
Best to stick with zec/skunk/skein.
