anyone got rig with 4x 1080ti and 1200w psu ? I have 4x 1080ti and i put only 3 on rig because idk if the psu can do it...
3 Per 850W. Plus the rest of your system? Or is that PSU only powering the cards? Can you game like that or only run at like 80%? |

I've got 7 x 1080ti rig with 1600W psu. ya i run x6 1080ti on a 1600 watt as well, and have plenty of room, it uses under 1200 watts tuned. what PSU do you use if i may ask? im using a Rosewill Hercules, only one i could find with 8x2x6 connectors haha i will be using server PSUs for my next 1080ti rig , tho ihear they are noisy  |

May i ask if all gtx 1080ti are same hashrate speed.. i mean there are different manufacturer and different specs .. Let me know if there is a big differences of hashrate speed when mining ethereum or what altcoin is much profitable these days..
no, in fact they are not, while some of them are close enough if you want highest possible hashrate yet to have very low noise level and temperatures then choose one from these asus OC stryx zotac amp extreme gigabyte Aourus extreme msi lighting evga Ti FTW3 DT and some hybrid models ( though they usually more expensive) take any of these and you would be just fine! |

Finally got my 12 card working, nvOC just wasn't having it but smOS is working however the rig is having some issues with luckpool but is rock solid on zhash? The problem is that you can never compare power consumption for different Tis in means of PL percentage, because PL 100% is based on TDP which is different for every submodel.
For instance Zotac AMP at 85% needs the same power as an FE at 95%.
Because Zotac has 300W TDP by factory and the FE has 275W and 300*0.85 ~= 275*0.95
(Just an example I just guessed the numbers, but you get the point.)
Of course ASIC quality and voltages also matter. For nvidia asic qual is hidden from outside, but the bios controls the voltages according to the actual chip quality like EVV in AMD cards.

I've got 7 x 1080ti rig with 1600W psu. So i can easily put 4x 1080ti on my rig right ... ? I have 8 per rig, but only because its windows - Linux can handle more - Windows has issues with more than 8. |

I've running evga T2 power supply's, They are more expensive but I think they are worth it. I'm also running 240 volt to those power supply so i get an extra 2 percent better efficiency to 96 percent.
Sucks I have to pay the premium in california my electric rates are 0.22 cents watt in the winter. In summer it's cheaper at 0.15 cents. I gota start running my rigs at peak efficiency at 60 percent tdp and start mining low energy usage coins like Zcoin. Overall still profitable but I gota do my best to increase efficiency otherwise it will eat into my profits and i have to rely on holding longer for price appreciation to make it worth while.
