Hi all.

New to mining here and I just went all in for a 10x 1080ti zotac (3 fan) card rig! Kind of crazy with the current market for graphics cards and value of coins, I know but I got them at a decent price. Couple of quick questions for all you experts. I'm planning on increasing the card count to 13 + at some point in the near future. What and how many psu should I get?

I was looking at the EVGA super nova 1600, but I am open to any suggestions for what is safest and most cost effective.

I'm also using:
I7-7700
Samsung 850 EVO 250 GB Internal SSD,
2x 8gb ddr4 ballistix elite,
risers
Asus b250 mining expert.

Once I get everything set up I see through the 200+ pages here that there are plenty of algo and places to maximize profit and such so I won't go on about that portion for now.

Any help, suggestions or words of wisdom/ advice are welcomed! Please be kind haha.

Thanks.

PS, currently going through the entire forum now ...so if I find the answers before someone comments I'll delete this. Thanks agian.

I like the server PSU's ~1200w platinum rated, and cheap

What psu you use? Smiley

Thanks! Is the 1200w server psu going to be enough to power everything, not just the gpu(S)? Or do you think I should go for something a little bigger for everything? Guess I might need an adapter.

You'll probably only want to do 4 GPU per PSU. You can hook a few up together.

Currently i've got a few of the HP DPS-1200FB-1 A.
Getting harder to find that model for me, but there are lots of platinum / gold server psu's out there if you aren't insisting on the model.

You're probably limited with DM's as a new account, so probably easier to do it here for now.

actually for a rig you do not need this expensive CPU and memory, you may put just a celeron and 8GB cheapest DDR4 memory. as well as 128GB SSD or even an old and working HDD for 320GB-500GB, this will lower the cost of the rig
as for PSU I'm using HP 2450W server PSU for a rig with 8 x gtx 1080ti

When you guys talk about +100 Core - what is your actual core clock?
I have an "ASUS ROG Strix GeForce GTX 1080 Ti OC" which has OC default so not sure how to compare my settings to yours

I don't think the ASUS b250 supports more than 8 Nvidia cards at the moment, unless I missed an update.

Is the same for me, so i can max core up to 134... no 150 as others say
For memory i can max 550
And using 65% TDP

Testing on DSTM Apliying 130+ and 500+ Just increased Effciency from 3.6 to 3.8 sol/w
on hashes it increased from 650 to 680 H/s

Every card is different, some of my 1080ti's can take only +80 while others can take +150 and some in between.  You just have to play with it to see where it breaks and lower it a bit.  Nobody can tell you what setting you can set for your card.

When someone says I add +150 to core it means nothing. Card is limited of a few parameters and +75, +100 and +150 mean the same for card, cause it can't add frequency to the moon.

Agree with LUXCoin, another pool for LUXCoin is Yiimp if any availability/capacity.  Also look at BTX, pool Bitcorepool.

I get the feeling luxcoin isn't going anywhere.

And yes, I was NOT accepted for the luxcoin signature campaign. Gonna bash them wherever I can. Cheesy Cheesy

I don't suppose anybody wants to share the SP Lux Miner? I can't justify paying that silly price for 1 small rig.
