The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

When was the last time you unlocked your wallet? If you have requested more addresses than there are in the keypool since you last unlocked the wallet, it will not be able to refill the keypool with new addresses. By default the keypool contains 100 addresses.

By default, 100. You can change it by putting keypool=<Number of address>.
so is it another 100 now ?
Yes. Bitcoin Core tries to maintain 100 addresses all the time and it will do so whenever you do anything with the wallet provided that it is unlocked.
