I see 185 new members and the day is not over. One joined while I wrote that sentence just now.

If those aren't spammers, things are getting real. I wonder what kind of load the forum can withstand. Smiley

Pretty soon the forum will need it's own maga datacenter full of quad xeon servers to withstand the load..lol Tongue Surprisingly the forum worked fine for me during that recent slashdotting.

Ladies and gentlemen, we just broke posting record with 2000 + posts generated within a single day.

Someday, 2000 + posts will be a regular occurrence.

has the forum been upgraded in any sense or did they (or whoever hosts it) just move it to a subdomain?

Moved off of the same host that bitcoin.org resides:
  http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=8692.0

There were some other changes for style but reverted to this current style apparently.

Well it's good that the forum is now on a diff server than the official website, this way a /. effect on the main site won't affect the forum.

It is getting hard to find threads now because they disappear to the second or third page rather quickly.

As the last hurrah for May...The last day achieved a staggering total of new 2840 posts ending the month with 55331 posts compared to 24397. That mean the posting rate more than double in one month.
