I kind of dilemma, I think it is better to save fiat for them because we really don't know what could happened with bitcoin for a long term, it maybe can be expensive but it also got chances that it will be no value, so I still will collect bit by bit for my children but when I see the situation is not right I will convert it to fiat, it is safer for my children future

We don't know if its safer to save FIAT, we have seen the Lehman brothers bank failure and also the Cyprus and Greece failure where in Greece you could only withdraw 60 Euro per day and not more because of the crisis. I think it is better to save bitcoin for the future without forgetting to put aside very little fiat cash every now and then. If this is done from now for 18 years I am sure the children who will have such parents will be some very happy persons in their future and will have a good start to their independent life.

Bitcoin moves so fast and unpredictably. In years the price may have gone a lot higher than the price today but it may also have gone a lot lower than how much bitcoin is when I invested.
I still prefer saving in fiat.

It would be really good thing for all those bitvoiners for the future of Thier children , because when the children are the small in age then at that time we don't need much about to worry for them but after the 18+ year age they need much money for the daily needs and for Thier education .

Now see I would do that, but I just don't think that Bitcoin will still be around in 50 or so years. Also, I am the one earning the Bitcoin, so why shouldn't I keep the money? I am quite young at the moment also, so I don't really think about these kinds of things. Maybe when the time comes, I will leave some of my Bitcoin for my children.

Great idea and I think many of us will already be doing this.  I have been doing this for a while and have gone one step further and setup a multisig wallet via Copay with the wife so It can't be touched unless we both sign off on it.

Good idea but I think in my opinion no one can say what will happen  in the future,if you have enough bitcoin to save for future of your children.I think withdraw it and put it to the bank,because if you put in the bank they sure they get the money in the future.

This sounds like those commercials selling insurance and investment policies, but I like the idea. It's something that I had long been thinking about. Accordingly I made three wallets and I spilt what ever I earn to my personal spending, my wife and kids and my parents. So in near future if it grows and it surely will grow, I am sure we all can enjoy life and be sure that we made the right decision. I am sure everyone will implement this idea as it's safe, and if you do implement make sure the people for whom you do are aware of it.

We have a close age and i agree with you, even we are still young and under 40 years old we can still have a lot of chance and time to make sure that our future will be bright so we don't have to worry when we get to that point. I'm also starting to secure my future for saving money and also putting them in bitcoin as my main saving account because i don't like the banks because of its low interest rate.

I prefer fivty-fivty in this case if we discuss about the understanding of doubling it in the gambling and trading business, but it's not a good thing to teach to small children. The right understanding for them is to understand the basic bitcoin first and start teaching some game faucet. If we talk about price fluctuations then that is a risk to our own business and not to be taught to them.

A small sum of each Bitcoin, Ethereum and maybe one of the POS coins would be a very nice gift. It should not be a lot of coins or they won't appreciate the value of it. Something that can get them started but small enough it will not spoil them.

It is actually the best plan rather than having a time deposit in a bank.
Thanks for this I now have the on how I can save bitcoin.
Something that I could not open which will have my child's name also will be the best choice.
I will let my wife create that account for him then I will just get the bitcoin address where I will send it.

There's nothing permanent in this world! Maybe now bitcoin is one of the famous coins and can convert into cash but then I have my doubts about sharing it to my children. When it comes to bitcoin I have no interest to teach my children about it. I am already enough to be part of knowing bitcoin. The best furture to give any child or children even the unborn ones is just financial security with that, the future is already secure and if bitcoin can provide that, without being miser with the truth, its the best way to go. However, I would advise not to go totally into bitcoin rather spread it across other financial assets especially fixed assets that are sure to generate Return on Investment in addition to some money in bitcoin in other to be on a safer side.

I also think so, storing bitcoin for your young ones could be better than purchasing Insurance policy for them. However bitcoin may also experience huge dump in future because bitcoin price is quite volatile and nobody can predict the future. So don't save all you have in bitcoin
