Hong Kong regulator ‘concerned’ by ICO funding boom

https://techcrunch.com/2017/09/05/hong-kong-ico-concern/

OAX, is a currency based in Hong Kong?

Hello Kalemder,
The ANX International is behind the OAX Foundation.
ANX is based in Hong-Kong. OAX project too. OAX currency is global.)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ANX_(Hong_Kong_company)

Open ANX Foundation (the “Foundation”) is a company limited by guarantee formed under the laws of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
openANX KYC & AML Policy, https://www.openanx.org/en/

Obviously the guy was not asking for you to clarify whether the company is registered in Hong Kong. He wanted you (or someone from the team) to address the thrust of the article.

I dumped my OAX today. Everything about the project has been very annoying lately. The twitter account is retarded, the bounty campaigns are retarded, they should really try a bit harder.

Hello Archru, MEW is good for this.
You may take a look on "OAX “How-to-Contribute” Guidebook for Users". MEW is on the first place.

Hello otto_diesel, you should wait for the "accepted" status. This will be announced in the #bounty channel on Slack.
And accordingly your status will be changed in the spreadsheet. Just wait please a little bit.
Thank you for the participation in the OAX bounty! And please ask bounty related questions in the Bounty thread:

Hello SwedishGirl! Thank you for the criticism, it's always useful.
What should be done to improve our Twitter as to your opinion?
How do you see the ideal Bounty campaign? Will be grateful for reply.

We have an official statement here
https://medium.com/@OAX_Foundation/oax-project-statement-evolving-regulation-9ceb0a49c5d

I'll just add that we feel very strongly that regulation is a good thing and we are working hard to deliver a great project. We did try very hard to understand the legal and regulatory commitments prior to the sale, you can read about that here

How does blockchain really work? I built an app to show you by Sean Han

According to Wikipedia, a blockchain is "a distributed database that is used to maintain a continuously growing list of records, called blocks."
That sounds nice, but how does it work?
To illustrate a blockchain, we will use an open source command-line interface called Blockchain CLI.
What does a block look like? What happens when a new block is mined? How is the hash calculated? What’s a nonce? Why does this matter?
I also built a browser-based version of this here: http://blockchaindemo.io/

From comments, Stefan Schindler:
This is seriously the best introduction to Blockchain I’ve ever seen. I tried so hard finding resources that just explain how it works, to someone who is related to programming. But all I could find was the abstract “It’s distributed, secure, and the future. You can have currencies, contracts and everything!”

Hi bitvoyager, if you are a member of a team, can you clarify, if the work is beein made in all directions, when approximately can we see some result of that work? App Demo, video, something to have proof that the project worth money invested into it. Situation in Chinese for now is unacceptable, i hope government will change their decision regarding cryptocurrencies.

Hello ivanpoldark easyrimka,

Here are the fresh updates on 3 main directions:
An initial engineering delivery team has been engaged and further announcements will be made in the next two weeks regarding the specifics of this

https://medium.com/@OAX_Foundation/oax-project-q4-roadmap-update-technology-stream-120a8ef3046b
https://medium.com/@OAX_Foundation/oax-project-q4-roadmap-update-legal-and-regulatory-stream-8d9a3d4671a2
https://medium.com/@OAX_Foundation/oax-q4-roadmap-update-community-and-engagement-stream-9b699f668322

App Demo, video, some show - definitely will be done as soon as there will be a possibility, at the right places and at the rigth time.
The marketing team is working on different short-term and long-term promo strategies, on the wide presentation of the platform and its benefits all over the world, online and offline, on concept of building a strong international community. I am pretty sure that involvement of people into our project, interest to the solutions it brings to the crypto market will outrun the development of the prototype and we'll see a big demand on its services at the moment of the OAX platform release.

Good news, great to see some positive development about this project, though the market performance is still in a bad situation.  I will choose to hold these OAX coins.
