Marketing are fluctuating all the time, sometimes we just have to wait.

Agree to standards. OAX is a long-term project. And the goals are high. 
A lot of should be done, serious challenges facing the whole industry should be resolved.
The main activity field now is creating of the Working group. And this direction develops successfully.

so , the logic from investor say "i will move to another promising project, or i waiting too long."

Yes, many get lured away looking for a quick hit. This project is beginning to cook with gas and I'm looking forward to the day OAX is in the top 25 and I can say "I jumped on that one when it was #225". A lot of very good projects are still way down after the China ban too. I could name 20 almost off the top of my head.

Was there a coin swap for OAX?  For some reason whenever I try and send my OAX from myetherwallet to any exchange I get the following error:

Could not estimate gas. There are not enough funds in the account, or the receiving contract address would throw an error. Feel free to manually set the gas and proceed. The error message upon sending may be more informative.

But I have plenty of funds to cover the gas so it is something with the receiving address or my OAX tokens ()

Has anyone else noticed very suspicious trading of OAX on the exchanges?

For example, take a look at trades on Binance over the last few hours. Every trade is below 200 OAX. Almost all trades are under 60 OAX, or between 150 and 190 OAX. Every trade is a sell.

Watch the market for a few minutes and you will see that a new buy order comes in just slightly higher than the current higher buy order. Then immediately a sell order matches it exactly.

Makes no sense - why are the orders so similar, and why is someone waiting to sell 150 OAX at 0.0012929 when they could sell for 0.0012925 immediately? Seems like market manipulation.

Thank you. Interesting observation. I will take a view and try to understand.

Anyway I haven't my opinion on this situation. Should be researched and only then any conclusions can be made.
The official position of the OAX Foundation is not to comment on secondary markets.

In that example, yes the price of 0.0012929 is higher but than 0.0012925, but only very slightly. When the lowest sell order is at ~0.0014 price, then there is quite a big margin between buy and sell orders. So it does not make sense that someone would wait for the buy order to increase such a small amount, and then within 10 seconds of the buy order appearing to match it.

Of course, if it happens a few times, it is not suspicious but it is happening on almost every trade. Take a look at the last trades:



Every single one below 200 OAX, and an immediate sell as soon as a small buy order appears just above the buy price.

BTW, I am not blaming OAX here. It could be price manipulation from bagholders, or something suspicious on Binance. But either way, this is the biggest exchange for OAX, and it doesn't inspire much trust. (Which in itself is the very reason a DEX project OAX exists of course  )

This all smells like someone is manipulating a bot.
Not sure if I do not see the action (as I don't have registration there I can't). But from what you say it is a bot that is trying to be firs, and someone pushing the bot up, so he can sell into it. As at some point the bot will be full and will stop to make orders on top then the seller will be able to buy back the amount sold for profit
that is what probably is happening. The small amount is due to the fact that this kind of bots use small orders in order to average up/down the price depending on the market move...

I don't think this is manipulation even if a bot is buying or selling. I have just bought another bag 227 OAX for o.27 ETH. Etherdelta is a decentralized and this is how people making trades sometimes I see buy orders lower from sell. There is a lot of newbies just learning on rare tokens from airdrops and bounty. For some people using Bittrex is hard and they need tutorials to trade. There are hundreds of mistakes being made daily on Etherdelta.

The project can be something and is worth, but the market open of trading any asset has its own price and the market dictates how much a coin cost. If the price falls, it means that it is still expensive for the market. What do you think bought the coin, and it will soon grow?

Regarding CNY, it's a hard question. I'll pass it to the team for additional detail.
A lot depends on situation with the legal regulation in China.
If we imagine that the chinese bank Abc or chinese exchange Dfg are registered on the OAX platform as Gateways,
then they can make an emission of AbcCNY or DfgCNY tokens and you as a customer can get these tokens inside OAX.  
This all depends on legal regulations as I said, and not clear to the moment as for me/
Let's wait and see how the situation will develop.

Well I don't really think that this is direct connection to OAX, the whole alt market looks very sad and many people are depressed.
What I'm interested in is when updates about code and status of prototype will be done. Any announcement, are they using 0x or not?  Not clear form GitHub.
