I sell my Bitcoin when its price is down and when I am in dire need of money for my schooling. In this case I did not regret selling my Bitcoin knowing this benefits me most. That's how useful Bitcoin is.

I sell my altcoins when it reached my target price around 5% profit. But sometimes I hold altcoins that has potential in the future.

I sell when price has hit higher resistance level and I buy back in lower support level. It is that simple. OR different case when I really need fresh cash for urgent thing so I sell  Grin

Always remember this golden rule: Buy Low Sell High

I usually don't set target price like 5% whatsover because I confidently believe in my technical analysis.

I only sell in 3 situations:
1. I feel that's enough profits for me and don't want to hold that coins any more.
2. I need money for buying something for paying for some needs , i will sell my coins .
3. Try to cut the loss because my holding coin is dropped too much.

I understand that some investors here has a specific target percentage prior to selling their crypto possession.  But in my case, I do not sell my cryptos because of a specific percentage or when its value depreciated.  I only sell my crypto possession when needed arise but as long as I can hold my crypto, I keep it.  This is because I believe that crypto specifically bitcoin has a great potential in the future.  I also believe that this is the currency of future so, the more crypto I possess, the more brighter the future awaits for me and my love ones.  It is just a matter of faith on what you believe in.

I think there is no specific time or period as a investor you must keep your eyes and ears open. Because the variation of exchange rate/value of the Bitcoin is the most important part foe an investor. Whenever the value of Bitcoin reaches your target value or a handsome rate, the smart investor will sell his Bitcoin in order to gain the profit.

I set a number in my head before I invest, Let's say 20% profit or 10% loss. If I invested 1000$ on a particular day and I see my investment going down to 900%, I sell it, on the other hand, if I see my investment rising to 1200$, I again sell it. Making 20% profit and sustaining 10% loss averages out the profit/loss for me. But, this comes with a lot of practice. At times it becomes hard to accept losses and you lose motivation.
But, since the market is extremely volatile, one day or the other you end up making such a huge profit that it covers up for all the losses you have made and hence averages out everything. So, trading is exciting and definitely helps you grow as a person by making you more patient.

When do you decide to sell?

Is it a sat, a % of profit, or even a randomly thought up number in your head?

I am new to trading Crypto, but when I traded other stocks, I would aim for a certain percentage.
This seems much easier to hit that percentage, but much more risky.

How do you determine when to let it go?
I believe this time you should sell the bitcoin immediately before the bitcoin prices continue to decline. It can be seen that the price of bitcoin is going to be correct in the annual cycle, so bitcoin prices will continue to decrease in the coming days. And it will be very difficult to recover. Therefore, I think you should sell bitcoin at this time so that you can buy bitcoin at a better price.

If my profit is around 5% to 10% then it is the time for me to sell my altcoins but sometimes my target is higher than that. We kust be wise on our decisions.

Usually I only sell when I need fiat or when I found another gem to invest in. I can also sell when I feel we are at ATH, and the best clue is when you see a lot of shilling on that coin Grin

When I buy altcoins I have an approximate purpose (price) for which I plan to sell them, it's easier for me to plan my investments in this way. When altcoin reaches that price, I sell it and fix profit

Well its up to you. Simply because you know what coins is better. and I know before investing you have a knowledge on that coins. so you have a perfect time to sell your altcoins. And if you are in a short-term trading 20% profit is the good  time to sell

I myself have a lot of ALT's and my BTC Hoard is intact from 2015

so I usually go the route of 'panic sell like a 12-year-old child' like I did yesterday..with the ALTS my go to spend stuff...for paying tax man and bills etc from mining etc etc

it is my preferred method... I also have a real talent for ALWAYS selling on the low price side..and am somewhat confused today..in that I sold at $143 LTc and

$7,950 BTC and the price is LOWER than that a day later..(this must be what 'winning feels like')...

So anyway, that is when I sell...I just 'snap' and sell...and like having a 'binge' of eating a Qt of Ice Cream..spend the next day in 'regrets'

it is how I roll

anyway, somewhat confused on price...have not had the 'regrets' hit yet...which is 'concerning' as a price dump on BTC and LTC etc point of view

Naw, it's me...I sell at the low ALWAYS...expect a pump you can thank me with merit or tip me my BTC address...when the market pumps on my loss...

Easy and simple you sell when you see that you already earn a good profit for your investments or sometimes you sell if you realy need money to cash out for your daily needs or to sustain your alowances and family.

I usually have a price in mind when I buy a coin, and if I reach that price, I will sell it.

For example, when I bought bitcoin for $10,000 last year, I expected the price to go up to 13,000-15,000. It was obvious that the current market was very depressed, so I could only keep waiting.
