I rarely register on forums, I'm more of a lurker type but the announcement of the USB miner from AsicMiner this morning pushed me to register. Got a few BTC and I hope to get out of the newbie forum so I can catch about 10 of those in a group-buy when they pop up. We'll see what happens. Now back to lurking but with a username at the top.

Can't find much info on these miners... Have they priced the units yet?

There are currently 2 USB powered mining devices that I know of. ASICMINER Block Erupter USB (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=195004.0) and
Avalon Asic chip Mini USB miner (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=196281.msg2040708#msg2040708). The ASICMINER USB is currently in production, while the Avalon USB is still in design. Check out the Custom hardware forum (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=76.0) to join group buys to purchase units. You should always read all the terms of the group buy before committing to an order.

>300MH/s powered by your 500mA(2.5W) USB power. Cost 1.99BTC each with a min. order of 300 from ASICMINER. You need at lease 597BTC to order from them. Your best bet is to try the group buys.

Happy mining,
QG

Bitcoin is at the tippity top of the mountain...but it's really only half way up.. Wink
