is it ok to bios mod 470 and 570 and put them in 1 machine? will there be driver issues and such? one wont be detected but the other will?

Completly fine. RX 470/480 and 570/580 use same install package with drivers. After mod you only need to use Pixel Clock Patcher, see the first post for download link. You can have even R9 series in one rig. |

I have 5x RX480 Sapphire Nitro + OC 8 GB
Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred_Siacoin_Lbry_Pascal AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.5
ETH Single.
29.05 Mh/s Per card = 144/145 mh/s
63/65 W at Gpu
All Rig 635-650 Watts at wall. Any sugestion can be more ? more hs with low voltage or this is maximum ? What u thing .. i try bet 31+ but power up to 700 watts..

In afterburner, but it's limited, you can set voltages in Claymore also.

Is it worth using a moded 480 to 580 Asus strix rx480 bios, then apply your bios edits or would that defeat the object of using your bios? I'm a newbie, so not too keen on over experimenting.
If things go completely wrong, if I keep a copy of the original bios, do you have a link for how to fix please.

Perfect thank you, you have given me peace of mind. So to mod my asus rx480 strix bios, follow the link in your signature for further info. Are all the exact settings for altering the figures on your signature link that are specific to rx480 Asus strix, I wouldnt want to enter the incorrect values. Could I just change the memory settings in the bios, as I presume that is what is given the card the biggest boost? and leave other settings, as I might change them via afterburner. |

Yes, the bandwith will be higher that means more FPS. Power and heat are about the same if you do not undervolt. |
