Hi,
First time using the PBE, attempting to flash an RX 480 4G with Hynix VRAM, it was doing 22 MH/s stock with compute mode,
I flashed it using the one click button BIOS and it was then doing 17 MH/s, but after restart the BIOS was also no longer detected by AMD settings, I was trying to check if it was in compute mode at 17MH/s.. but even GPUZ had trouble identifying the card, ATI Flash simply labeled it has "Polaris", I reverted back to stock BIOS after that, but I really think 22 MH/s is low for a 480, any suggestions? Also, when I use afterburner I cannot do anything above stock or the hashrate falls, this indicates VRAM errors correct?
I did a clean install and installed the pixel clock etc etc, what am I doing wrong here? What specific order do I need to everything in just to be sure I am not screwing it up?

Hello, this concerning 2 rx550 cards by Sapphire. I got the newest Polaris editor, as well as ATIflash and the patcher program.
Did the first card, using only one click tuning. Rebooted, ran the patcher, card is fine.
2nd card did not do so well. It reported no problems, but now comes up as standard VGA adapter, even with the driver installed. I cannot reflash the original BIOS on it b/c ATIflash does not detect it.
What can i do with this?

Flash it in safe mode. |

Thank you Matththev for useful thread, I'm a newbie in mining world, have just bought 6 cards FXF RX470 8G. Still don't know how to control fan speed? The seller had set up it's speed always be 100%, but all temperature just only 40~60°C.

matthev, the atiwinflash program will not run in safe mode, it tells me "due to Microsoft Win7 Enhanced security features, this application requires the user to be in administrator mode..."
Which I am doing by right-clicking and running as admin in safe mode.
This is Win7pro 64bit.

Check that you may have to run pixelpatcher again. I sometimes find that the ATI driver has decided to update itself (even if I tell it not to) which disables the pixelpatcher fix causing the GPU to run in low-res only. |

If bios fail, switch to bios2, start windows, switch to bios1 while in windows. Now the card is recognized and u can flash bios1. |

Looking for few more timings testers with Elpida, Hynix (H5GQ8H24MJ, H5GC8H24MJ and the newest H5GQ4H24AJ) and/or Micron. You need to know how to use PBE or SRB with timings and tweak miner for best hashrate (XMR and ETH). Contact me via e-mail I will send you timings for testing.

You've sent payment late, so system close the order, it's very clearly said on order page, I think 30 minutes to send payment is pretty much enough. Then you sent me an e-mail at 20:00 CET and expecting I will answer and fix it on midnight? I will return your LTC, never ever order anything again, same applies for my guides not even try to read them!! |

Well maybe, but who the hell expect to get respond in 4 hours (and even at night), then start to write everywhere that he got scammed. When I was dealing with Mcafee support it took them mostly 24 hours to respond and it was quiet good, Bittrex took 1 month to respond to my support ticket... And I'm not doing this as day job like these companies. |
