I think demand is going to steadily grow over time. There will be some growing pains.

Hopefully. The last crash has placed fear in many of the newer bitcoin users. Once it stabilizes there should be another burst in bitcoin opportunist who will cause a price inflation. I dont think that is in the near future though. It will most likely take a month or two for people to watch the value and decide on their stance/ tactics or whether they should even participate. A grey area so to speak.

This is what happened when we saw Bitcoin hit $200+ a while back.
It was gox's crashing/downtime that led to the price crashing again.
Hopefully when we see the next up curve nothing's in the way to stop it this time.

Now that Bitcoin has hit the mainstream press (Yahoo!), we will see increased demand and rising prices for Bitcoin. Curious investors have no doubt opened new Dwolla accounts by now and are waiting for verification (by Monday or Tuesday). By Wednesday, thousands of new individuals will have USD in their new Mt. Gox and TradeHill accounts. The sheer amount of stores selling real goods for Bitcoin verifies the currency. I would not be surprised if Wall Street investors started joining the fray. On Late Tuesday or Wednesday I expect to see a surge in the market.

What worries me is that one big investor or early holder could manipulate the market like in the Wild West days of the U.S. stock market.

Anyone know how to get data on number of new Dwolla, Mt. Gox and TradeHill accounts being made?

LOL. I like how your enthusiam was all high then at the end of your pitch you say you are worried about a big player? When were the wild west days of the stock market? LMFAO
