Hey there, bitcointalk members!

Reading a little bit about btc since some time i was wondering about the technical background and how things work when handling cryptocoins...so i dived into some topics like mining, wallets, exchanges, faucet....

found some interesting and funny things, in case steemit would be open for registration i would write about it there Smiley
and i read about the brave browser and is it true it will interact with some coins then?

Are there any faucet pages that are not scam? There is the Boinc software that seems ok; i think its a nice idea to use the energy for scientific purpose than to just waste it for a self created mathematical problem; but you again have to need a gridcoin balance (what i understood its necessary for many currencys - maybe all of them - to have a balance to be part of the game, a technical thing)

coinbrawl seems to be a scam too; it is a shame! the game could have been cool...

so i tried it with yobit.net but when i tried to withdraw some of the coins - the most are not listed at an other  exchange or no wallets are available for end users - it didn`t recognize the adress: a scam too it seems

i am wondering if it is possible to mine a fresh - it does help? can it be fresh enough? -  coin with a laptop, or are even these new coins target of big miners? i could image in...

So i think it is not possible to get free coins...BUT!

I think there are many people out there who want to practise a lil bit with it...
Do you know a completely free "currency" that i can use to understand things better...trie out some things...

i found some tutorials of how to make an own cryptocurrency based on eth i think, its like a difficult copy paste thing, but again you need some balance and its too difficult to do it for me, but hey...maybe something is out there and i didn`t notice...

cheers to the cryptosphere!

I use eobot. It's a cloud mining site which you can utilize its free daily faucet to get ghs for mining. The best part, it has gridcoins as part of the coins you can mine but only if you've gotten some ghs.

BTW, why are you interested in gridcoins as opposed to normal mathematical pow mining? There's something I may be missing here it seems  Roll Eyes

thanks, i will check out eobot, but i am afraid my laptop is ways to old and slow...
BOINC will award you with gridcoins (only read about it) for participating in their calculations(science), thats a nice idea...for me it is a nice example how cryptocurencies can be used as a reward system; and you can decide which project you want to support, the democtratic idea behind all that, right?

cryptocurrencies is an interesting topic for sure!
But before you can make your first transactions i think you just have to go through all the faucets and scams and so on...

why is there no "free" currency? coins which you can earn or which you get in intervals to send to friends, just for fun...maybe this sounds strange to you, but i think it would help to show all the sceptic people how it works...

i just stumbled upon airdrops today, but i think this is not the way cryptos were intendet to get used...

so i just made my first transactions now with some PAC coins, very happy!!!
thanks yobit for the free coins...
so if i really wanted to make money with that it would take me a week for a dollar.
I think of spending the PACs on the wheel on novaexchange and well see...

another question: am i right with that: to have a wallet on your computer needs the whole blockchaine stored on your pc?
are there win wallets available for every coin?

As i just transfered my Pac coins from one exchange to the other: all the confirmations were done by people mining PAC?

Faucets are one way to make free coins go to your wallet. You have to do a bunch of faucet games in order to get the coins out, they usually don't scam people because the payout is very little.

Coinpot.co is your best bet with non scamming faucets - it isn't worth your time though.

Build your account here and participate in a signature campaign or facebook/twitter that's worthwhile and semi-passive.

Thats one of a pile of question out there mate but actually those things are those question which been commonly asked by a total newbie which i do ask those things back into those years which i dont really have knowledge. To make things short.Just focus on the basic things on bitcoin.Dont just jump directly on altcoin or stressing or hurrying up yourself on other things.Slowly or gradually absorb on how things works.Usually basic informations about earning can be found here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1629118.0.

If you follow the bad crypto podcast, they are giving away 50000 badcoins for listeners and perhaps even more. Then you will just have to get some dogecoin. Go to faucet like moondoge, you will soon built up some and be part of a happy community. And then try keep up to date with all the airdrops on the forum, you can also get some good ones, like POS.
