Is there an auction site or garage sale site or any such thing that allows you to sell stuff and accept bitcoins for payment?  I've got a bunch of old books (lots of science fiction and fantasy, some mystery, assorted other) and a few other things that have been sitting around forever.  I've found places which support postings for businesses or services, but not just a one-off online garage sale. :-)  Any suggestions?

Try here:

http://bitcoinhop.com/
http://www.biddingpond.com/

I did not receive any private messages or instruction from anyone before, and when I first created those graphics, not even from SN.

I believe that I will try both. :-)  Then post about the experience.  Thanks!

This site is German-language, which isn't a problem (I speak German), but aren't most of the users in Europe?  I don't think that most of what I want to sell would be worth shipping that far.  This isn't virtual merchandise we're talking about, although I'd be happy to sell to Europeans if they want my old books and stuff.

I've used biddingpond successfully and have a couple of other auctions on there going right now.
I'm interested in all of these, but they need to combine and get all of the traffic going to one site.
The ebay of bitcoin needs to establish itself, if for no other reason then so that people can have a way to get money in and out of bitcoin without having to pay exchanges and such.

I'm actually not thinking of this as "getting money into and out of bitcoin".  I'll let the currency traders I WANNA BE RICH NOW types do that. Wink  I just want to get started doing business and accepting payment in bitcoins, so that when I do it for real next year, I'll know the ropes.   (Also want to get rid of some stuff I don't need any longer, but there are easier ways to do it than auction it off -- for bitcoins or USD.)
