I hold 21,000 XEL due to some very generous community members...and I received one small bounty from Lannister back in October...I don't feel I owe the investors of this project anything.

Now, it's 25k Grin

here you go man, as a NXT coin investor, i do not really care how much i have.... just sent you half million XEL
because as a developer in crypto for 5 years, i know the feeling.

i hope this 500000 XEL will worth 10M dollars in 1-2 years.

please also send some to other devs man.

thank you for make this happen.

i am happy i find some good people in crypto.

Thats a good amount to hold. didnt someone say the biggest whale has 6million coins

What is this account XEL-U2SJ-8EYV-8JZH-2VH2F?
It actively forges and has 4 genesis redeems - is it possible at all to redeem more than once?

Yes, it is possible when you have four different private keys and you want to redeem (and accumulate) them all into one XEL wallet.

Question about the Windows Lite Wallet:  The 12 words you get upon launching the wallet the first time, can those be used to recover the account in case of a crash on another computer?

Thanks.

Thanks.

Yes. That is primarily what you log into the wallet with anyway, so save that in a safe place(s) off your computer.

Can anyone explain why Golem won't make XEL obsolete?

Golem is developing an API that will let anyone create custom tasks, and the whole point of their reputation system -- which is the main criticism of Golem on the XEL website -- is to facilitate custom work that couldn't be verified by a central authority (whereas general computing tasks like rendering could be easily verified).

I thought the whole point of XEL was to let people do custom work, but it sounds like Golem is already doing that?

Should I use wallet.elasticexplorer.org or wallet.elastic.pw to redeem my coins? Are they both official and what is the difference?

Kind regards

That doesn't explain anything and it completely mischaracterizes the Golem project: https://blog.golemproject.net/the-challenges-ahead-933f040cba95

1. Golem is decentralized
2. Golem results are verified
3. Golem is not limited to general tasks (like Blender)

If that's the best explanation you've got, I'm even more convinced that XEL is a scam / vaporware.

In my last contact with Golem devs (and btw also in their own blog posts) they explained that Golem is NOT ready to do custom work procedures. They will be able to handle pre-defined work soon but NOT custom work.

But they are planning to add custom work being done longterm.
